Ultra Zone vs Gamebreaker or OI
« on: March 25, 2008, 10:47:34 AM »
I am a fan of low RG equipment. If you have or had both or all could you give me the differences in cover strength and pattern read for you. I'm looking to set some equipment aside for next year when i can bowl again.

Thanks guys appreciate the input.Had the ultimate it was ok but due to my low amount of tilt and axis is was very condition specific.  Very Strong cover solids or particles I have a tough time finding the right one to carry. I have had 2 OI's and 3 v2's but not the gamebreaker so thats why i asked about that. Bob have you done anything to the cover?? Very interested in the ultra but not a big assymet fan.

i have a rico OI at 800 and stacked OI at 4000 polish.  Both ball pretty strong and I am looking for a 3rd OI to have as a back up.  In otherwords, the OI is extremely versatile and an excellent ball.  I have also heard all sorts of good things on the Ultra Zone...wish I had one.

You can't go wrong with the OI, AI, or Ultra Zone. They are all great balls but they excel on different oil volumes. I'm finding less and less uses for my equipment with the original Activator covers as the oil volumes have increased, and I'm not seeing much shot breakdown with the type of events I bowl. As much as I liked the OI and still like the AI, the Ultra Zone is even better. There isn't much else like it - it's a great core/cover combo.
