powerkoil18 vs all activator coverstocks?
« on: January 25, 2007, 11:51:54 PM »
Hello all I am a strictly Brunswick user.I was having trouble matching up to my local house shot with My inferno line up(Scorching,Ultimate,Absolute). Lately I have sort of gone back in time so to speak. I pulled out one of my Dangerzones and practiced with it a bit and I am noticing that I get a more angular or pronounced reaction from this ball. So then I took out my Red Alert special edition(overseas ball close to a nemesis) and started using that again.

What I'm concluding is this. It seems at my house, the volume of oil near the track area may be less than before so I think it is causing the Infernos to burn up a bit. You can really see it you I send it out off the wall(right of 6)I can almost see the ball quitting on the back end. I am talking about all 3 of the previous mentioned Infernos as well as the vapor.

Is this a correct assumption? Should I see that much difference?

I really can't say that its dry because alot of guys are using all the latest, (angular, infinite one,no mercy ect.).

I'm saying for me it seems that they(all of the infernos including the smoking and radical) are expending alot of energy early and the powerkoil balls seem to retainits energy longer before making a move.

Case in point I just came back from practice and there was more head oil and an overall tighter shot today( the shot was put down that the Sat night league uses)the balls reacted fine.

I only wish I had the DZ with me today to really get a read. Thanks for repling

Could be Ur Infernos are responding to the dry too quick..
PK18 in fact reacts earlier than Activator..

But yeah, on dry i used to prefer using older balls.. Just too bad i don't have anymore left..

Along the same lines....just redrilled a Time Zone with asymmetrical flip drilling.  PK18 tends to be a little jumpy of the dry,  what do you think to tame it down.  2000 grit abralon? and leave it matte finish.  Doug
