I like what I read about the Vapor Zone. Currently, a Crimson Executioner is the only pearl I own, because I generally prefer solid reactives. I like the Executioner because it has a low enough RG and high enough flare to keep it from squirting too far. My normal first ball out of the bag is a Lane 1 Blueberry, drilled 4.5x5 label. I also use a Rule Delta One (pin over ring, MB 1" right of thumb) when the condition is wetter, or I want to play further inside.
I am a high-tracker (PAP 5.5" over by 1" up) with decent revs and medium-slow speed. I get all of my revs from coming up the back with a strong wrist position, and I normally use 30 to 45 degrees of axis rotation. I never play down and in on a THS. I have to swing the ball some, unless the outside is wet.
My thinking on the Vapor Zone is that I would swing the locator pin around toward my PAP for an earlier roll.
I take 4 balls with me, and one is always a Blue Dot for right-side spares. I'm thinking that a VZ, Blueberry, and Rule Delta One would cover most anything my house is likely to put out and give me three distinct ways to get to the pocket.
Any thoughts on how the VZ might work for me?
Thanks,
CK
