comments?

wat should i get to compliment the balls in the 3 diff categories?

i only have one ball for long oil as we seldom have that type of conditions here

The Warp Zone and Goliath are both very strong, early rolling particle balls more suited to heavy oil than medium. With the polish on them, I can see them being pretty decent medium oil balls, but I think you'd be better served with more legitimate medium-oil balls that would be more versatile. The ZC you've got coming will fill that spot very well. You also have a very particle-heavy lineup. Again, the ZC will give you more options and will probably be versatile enough that many nights, you probably won't have to use anything else.

You also don't have anything between the Purple Monster and your "medium" balls. And no profile.

The Goliath seems like a "funny" ball, imo. I've seen some very good bowlers that could hardly get this thing to turn a corner on any lane conditions. There's something about it that, if it matches your roll, can make it a very good oil ball, but if it doesn't, well, it ain't worth doo-doo. Low trackers seem the most prone to having problems with it, but I don't think it's limited to them.

Funny you say that, because a guy here had one, box surface, with something like a 45* layout on it. A strong, early, continuous layout for a strong, early, continuous ball. And a low-tracker.

Talk about a dud. He never really liked it, rolled poorly, hit weak, carried like a turd wrapped in kleenex. He ended up with a Bruiser instead that he liked a lot more before ditching the 16# stuff. Sold both the Bruiser and Goliath to another bowler here for practically nothing.

Yep, that's exactly what I've seen of it in the hands of folks that didn't match up with it. But, on the other hand, we've got one guy here in town, about a 185 average guy, nearly a spinner, who uses one. At times, it's just money in his hand.

yes i admit i dun have anything between the purple monster and medium balls,used to have a bruiser but got rid of it cos its 14lb
normally i would play with the surface of the warp or goliath if i need something for heavier or lighter oil for those in between
now i am getting the ZC to compliment the Warp
and i am thinking of getting the Wizard or Ambush to replace the Bruiser,cos thats the best ball from Brunswick so far that i have used before to counter patchy or carry down like what they say about that ball from Brunswick
what are your comments on the wiz or ambush to replace the bruiser?
cos i have not yet been able to find such a ball to replace it

and u mentioned something about profile,may i know what exactly it is that you are referring to?

sorry to have been so inquisitive as this forum i can see most of you are from the u.s or europe where u have very nice and standard conditions to play on unlike us in asia pac region.
and besides that you guys have every ball manufacturer's ball to play with,we only like have 4-6brands of balls to play with so our choices are very limited

The Wizard will fit above the ZC and give you something for the heavier side of mediums. The Ambush will as well, but might be a little smoother since it's got a particle cover. Hard to say since it's polished. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

If you polish the Wizard, you'll have a ball very similar to the Bruiser, which you say you liked. It's even blue.

On the left side, under the big BallReviews.com logo is a "My Info" section. The first link under that is "Profile". You can use it to tell us about yourself, where you're from, your style, what parts of the lane you like to play, your high games and sets (if you like to brag), what equipment you have and companies you like. If you're from Asia, it's very useful to know that as lane conditions are often very different over there than here. You might have that "helicopter" style release rather than being a stroker, cranker, tweener, whatever. All important things to let people know so that they can give you the most appropriate advice that will suit your game.

Don't be so down on yourself. You get lots of releases that we don't get, and it's probably a lot easier (even if it's expensive) to get our releases than for us to get yours. Every third post in the Track forum for two weeks was about the Strike Machine, how cool it looked, and why couldn't we have that core with a reactive cover like that.

i must say that its very smart of u to have guess that i am from asian,
ok will try to update my profile
anyways,its true that asian lane conditions are very differnt from the conditions at your part of the world thats why we are always awed by the videos you guys posted cos you guys really showed us how the ball should behave on a lane condition that the ball is made for and i am not referring to the demo vids provided by the ball manufacturers
and maybe thats why the ball manufacturer came out with the asia pacific or international series

yes,we have what u guys call the helicopter/ufo release wich is like the way a top spins ,so here in asia we cal in spinning and the pple who bowl it are call the spinners but whereas in your part of the world a spinner is simply a low tracked bowler

I'd say the Goliath is for really heavy oil. I have one and it's an OK ball. As people have said here, it's very "rolley" and will burn up real easy if the lanes aren't greased.

I have a higher track so I don't experience any of the low track problems some people have reported here. I get a lot of hook out of that ball and will over-under it if there isn't enough oil, in general. I mean you can adjust, but then this ball starts to lose power because you're rolling it so much and it dies. It certainly likes to roll in the heads and the mids. You want to put some real power into it when it's not 100% oily out there. If not you'll have it hit high or Brooklyn, even on a solid breakpoint.

Everyone throws different so if it's a medium oil ball for you then go for it. Maybe we have different definitions for medium oil. I like it when it's greasy. It can be a real money ball then.

It hits fine from my experiance. Maybe for some guys it loses too much power by the time it hits the pins. You need power for that ball.

What is the price for the BIG-B product in SG, too expensive?
If not, I think u can get some Intl release. Like the Red Alert Flash for
heavy oil, Mega Zone S / Hyper Zone S for medium.

actually there are a lot of asians in this forum,cos all of my bowling friends read this forum too just that they dun post only,
well over here in sg we dun take any particular brand into consideration
normal polyester balls would be in the range of $100sgd (about $500hk or $63usd)
mid range about $240sgd (about $1000hkd $150usd)
high end balls about$340sgd (about $1800hkd $213usd)
except for a particular brand wich is selling at $450sgd (about $2250hkd $282usd)

what we normally have here is brunswick,columbia,ebonite,track,storm,hammer,roto...the rest like lane #1 wich is very very ex,and visionary morich circle and such we seldom see them here or to be precise we dun have them here at all,so we can only come here and read how the pple in europe and usa have such good results from the vast varities of balls over there and we can only drool from your reviews...
i am sorry if any ball manufacturers are offended at my posting because we really have very limited choices of equipment here not only in sg but asia on the whole.
and to think that such a good sport like bowling have got to be hampered by the lack of equipment choices
