Vapor Zone rocked the house tonight
« on: December 02, 2005, 03:02:28 PM »
I have the New VZ and like it. Right now I'm the only one in my leauge to have it and everyone was watching me throw it. I even had a few of the local Kenosha County Hall of famers watching. I shot a 714 series tonight with the VZ. The 1st true 3 game series with this ball. The games were 279, 209, and 226. The 1st game I ran the 1st 9. 1st ball in the 10th I was a pinch slow and the ball went high by 1 board and left me a stone 4 pin. I had some pins heading to the 4 pin but the rack dropped too fast. Ah well, close but not my time for the 300. Its my 3rd 279 game though. I like the ball and can see why the ball isnt 100% perfect but can work on the right oil pattern. 7 out of 10.

Thanks for that tip. I got the chance to throw a SI tonight as well as the SZ both drilled to their max hook potential for a game. I clearly saw the SZ out hook the SI by at least 8 boards.

I find the Rampage to be more agressive than the Smokin' in box finish with a similar drilling.  The pk 18 is more than the activator andvance.  The advance is a very clean cover.  The vapor is an earlier and more even ball than the Rampage, and still may offer less overall hook as the reaction is less skid snap.  I would anticipate that on certain conditions the overall hook of the Vapor would be greater than the Rampage.  If you want a skid snap reaction out of any of the asyms. you'd best look elsewhere.  I have drilled three, the classic, impulse, and strike, and I have seen many thrown, and have yet to see skid snap.  One can regulate the length that the ball travels down the lane and the backend that the ball provides, but the asyms. are still low rg pieces.  I personally believe that their strong arcing nature (in addition to their great # of drilling possibilities) is why they are preferred, in most instances, by pros on the tough sport shots of the PBA tour.
