I think they're quite different for me.

The Vapor is great when I want to swing it wider and/or play outside. Then it is more angular and carries well.

The Total is better for me when I play further inside and don't swing it out as far (just play a tighter line to the pocket). Then it carries quite well.

They are both very good, you just have to find which area of the lane they work best for you. Good luck.

For me, the Total handles a wider variety of conditions than the Vapor, and I can stay with it longer as the lanes transition.  However, when I get the Vapor on the right condition, there's nothing better in the bag in terms of pin carry.

One thing I've noticed about both balls is that they tend to break down a lane *really* quickly, more so than the balls with the regular Activator or PowrKoil 18 covers.

I am slowly gravitating back to my VZ because it is so versital and I can't get away from it on house shots, that said, it won't handle the oil upfront that the TI will.  I think the VZ is great and the TI has its place, but I am struggling to find the right shot for the TI right at the moment, but the first 6 weeks I had it I wouldn't put it down too so read what you want in to that.
