Aura vs. Nightmare
« on: November 02, 2012, 09:53:37 AM »
Need a compare of the two I have an appointment saturday to drill up the Aura but still not sure if I should not drill up the Nightmare instead. I currently have a Nexxus and am afraid the Aura will over lap this ball to much. All opinions welcome.

The Aura will not overlap with the Nexxus at all. The Aura is much cleaner and much stronger off the spot. It is close to 3ft longer and about 3 to 4 boards stronger but all down lane.
The Nightmare and Aura are similar in strength. The Nightmare is a little smoother but not much. Either ball will not overlap the Nexxus. Both will provide a different shape than the Nexxus has. You will not be disappointed with either choice.

Both the Aura and Nightmare are very strong balls. And I agree with Adam about the Aura not overlapping with the Nexxus. The Aura is stronger downlane and can handle heavier oil than the Nexxus. If you are looking for something stronger, then either would be a good choice.

Thanks for the reply, I am not  up on the duel angle layout am use storm layouts, that being said my PAP is 5 1/4" and my Nexxus f(p+r) is 6 3/8 x 5 pin is 1" above and directly between fingers. I have decided to go 4x4 with the Aura I just can't decide on the pin buffer because of what others are saying that Aura gets so much length I don't  want to get so much length where I see my 4pin shooting around my 7pin (with the Nexxus f(p+r) I leave on average 6-7 7 pins a night. All this being said looking for pin buffer suggestions or entire different drill suggestions. (my ball speed at the pins 14mph low to average revs left handed med. track). thanks in advance

With the 4" pin to PAP you really shouldnt cause any kind of "squirt". I am slightly rev dominant and I have both Aura's drilled pin down and they corner plenty hard. If you are planning a 4x4 layout I would do a lower pin buffer

Went in saturday to drill, problem pin CG and MB not in line I am left-handed and after laying it out it would of had a Crater in the side (3 1/4 oz side weight). So now have to wait till release date to drill. Only positive have more time to lock in a drilling, but am sad I will not be throwing this thursday. So please keep posting feedback and suggestions.
