RG Question... (Nexxxus)

Brunswick gurus , I need your help. 

What is the actual/specific RG for a 14lb Nexxxus? 

On the Brunswick webpage the RG Max is 2.546 and RG Min is 2.490 but is that for a 15lb or is that for the different weights or something else.

It's the exact same core in 14 - 16 lbs. so I would assume the RG is the same. If the weight of the ball (14 to 15) changes anything it should be slight and nothing to worry about.

That is incorrect.  The RG is different for different weights.  The values listed on the website are for 16lb.  You have to pull up the info sheet to see all the different values.

For 14lb the RG-max = 2.575; RG-min = 2.519 with a RG-Diff of 0.056

The changes for weight would be slight is what I said, and I stand by that statement. Practically, unless you are the THROWBOT, you will not be able to tell the difference in reaction, but thanks anyways.

To everyone, quit looking at "numbers only" to determine ball reaction. The number one contributor to ball reaction is what the bowler does to the ball, speed, revs., rotation, tilt, etc.  Second is surface (cover) characteristics.  Third is core design and layouts.  Do you really think a bowler can tell the difference between 2.54 and 2.57?

The specs for the core of the Nexxxus for the different weights seem to be on this web page:

Notclay is right.
The difference in RG for 15 lb. is 2.502; for 14 lb. is 2.519, virtually insignificant.
The differential and asymmetry for 15s and 14s are identical.

The difference when you go from 14 lb. to 13 lb. seems more significant.

Just reminder for those of you who may have forgotten:

The first number to the right of the decimal is TENTHS.
The second number to the right of the decimal is HUNDREDTHS.
The third number to the right of the decimal is THOUSANDTHS.

These balls are "grenades" when thrown on the right conditions.  Just roll the frickin' ball...

It doesn't matter if the numbers are insignificant, if it doesn't answer the bowlers question.

The link to show the weight for each does. Some companies like Morich clearly post that they keep their core numbers the same for all their bowling balls in the 13-16lb range. If you throw 14lbs and want to know the exact numbers for your weight then so be it.

I would expect better responses out of a Brunswick staff member.  The guy asked a simple question which you failed to answer.  I'm not saying your observations are wrong but nobody asked about ball reaction, surface or anything else you mentioned.

Kidlost is correct. I got sidetracked, and should have given the actual numbers, regardless of their significance, or their relation to ball reaction.

Dogtown, sorry if I disappointed you in this instance.  Just like my bowling game, I'm far from perfect.  But why would anyone ask for the actual numbers unless they felt there was some significance?

To be honest, the reason people ask is because all those numbers are posted on the website and put inside the boxes on the drill-sheets.  So that tells everyone they "must" be important.  (I'm not talking about Lillen.  Just talking in general.) As you know, there is more to the equation.  How you throw it, surface, etc......just like you said. 

I think it helps to market and sell balls.

notclay , no worries.  I found the info and I bought the ball.

Drilled it 55 x 4 3/4 x 40 and I like it a lot.   :)

Next up is a Maxxed Out...
