Title: VIDEO - Rico Layout Drilled Brunswick Fuze Eliminator
Post by: Ramtart on January 19, 2006, 04:47:01 PM
Hey guys and gals,

Decided to put together a little video of a Fuze Eliminator I recently got drilled up with the Rico Layout.

This was filmed at Sea Bowl in nearby Pacifica, California on Wednesday night 1/18/2006. Lanes were on the Medium-Heavy side with more concentration of oil in the middle. Backends seem to have some carry down around the track area, so I tried to stay around the 1st arrow at the breakpoint downlane.

I was anticipating this ball to be really smooth and I got just that. For the past several years, I was so used to rolling equipment that would often "jump," on the backends. The Rico Layout ended up being the smoothest of all layouts experimented with so far. I'm pretty satisfied! Can't wait to see if this ball will truly blend out some wet/dry patterns. I'll keep y'all informed.

Jon - Right on man. You were right though, Lane 1 could be kinda tricky (Slickest lane/pair bowled on at Sea Bowl yet!) Just tried to keep the ball around the outside part of the lane and play a small belly.

Nick - "Kip: Geeeez, I think you ripped my mole off..." Thanks for the kudos man, and thanks for directing me to your Rico Layout videos to get an idea of ball roll and overall reaction shape. Hope to catch you at the Mini in Vegas dude. Heck Yes!

Best Regards,
Ram

I wonder how that lay out would react for someone with some hand? I might try it but it still looks a little to strong on the back.

Looks nice, Uncle Rico looks soooo smooth. Great shots, and nice form.
