Q for shops- How hard would it be to get....
« on: August 27, 2007, 12:18:08 PM »
a sidewinder with a 5 inch pin-out?

I am going to try to duplicate a ball that is no longer available and the numbers are close enough ( I think ) on the sidewinder to make it work.

The ball I am trying to duplicate is a strongish pearl ball with a 2.53 RG and a .042 diff.  I currently have the cover at 600 grit sanded ( aluminum oxide paper ).

I was thinking that, with the numbers this close, and the hybrid light load cover, that the sidewinder might just fit the bill.

As always, any and all advice is appreciated.

4-5.5" pins are not too uncommon. Your local shop should be able to request a 5" pin from the distributor.
