Uh oh. The Inferno line is back. I know lots of people who will be lining up for that one. This is a pearl with the Activator 2.0 coverstock. The Magnitude 035 looks like a mid-range solid with the Relativity Flip coverstock. They're pumping it as a control front-to-back ball so this one might be popular for sport shots.

I think I was the only person on the planet that hated his Ultimate Inferno. Hated it.

But everyone else loved the Infernos! Lol

Actually I hated that ball also....At the time it came out I let a proshop guy convince  me to get one and didn't care for it at all---it was only a while later that I realized that Particle coverstocks matched up better with me. Ended up trading it to a teammate of mine.

Guys,

I'm not sure I understand what the problems you had with your Ultimate Inferno have to do with the re-issue of the "plain" Inferno, other than both were in the Inferno family. 'splain, please.

I assume, for the sake of clarity, that you are NOT trying to say that all Infernos are bad.

Oh no, the Inferno line was great for 99% of people, so I hope this rolls just as well. I'm just an anomaly lol.

But not every Inferno was gold. The only one I liked was the mildest of them, The Clown ball, The Intense Inferno. Actually not many people here in NJ, that I saw, liked the Ultimate; just too early - required too much oil.

Still, because if several balls in a line don't have good core/cover match-ups, the line can still be good. Look at the Hy-Road. It carried the whole line by itself.

I tried an Intense... Gave it away after 2 shots.

Ok, I believe you: you didn't like the Inferno line. :)

To be honest, I really didn't match up.to the Train core, so I'm not hating on Brunswick.

Now I can't explain why I have a NIB Freight Train... I'm hoping I can hit the magic layout

I wasn't a fan of the ultimate inferno. Liked the original inferno and loved the absolute inferno and vapor zone.

Many of the people around here liked their Ultimate Inferno after we put a little polish on it, but was too early without.  The Absolute was great, and the Vapor Zone was even better.  Those two shared the same cover as I recall.

The Intense looked cool (bright colors) going down the lane, but was not as versatile as the above mentioned Absolute and Vapor.  The Intense was much more over/under for sure.  Blazing Inferno was pretty good for straighter lines as was the Smokin" Inferno.  The Scorchin' and Total Infernos never had the "wow factor" with me, but were good for honor scores, so I remember them fondly.

It's always fun to hear others' ideas on certain balls looking back.   As time goes by we remember the ones that were favorites, and others that turned out to be less...

And sometimes we start out with a ball and think it's going to be good for the arsenal, but then don't use it as much as the more versatile ones and they end up in the "not good" category.  I can remember a few that were not keepers, but didn't notice it until time passed and I analyzed why I never threw it in the bag for "league night".   The Twisted Fury solid was not a good one for me, but early on I thought I'd use it regularly.  The "test" of time, I guess.

The Smokin' Inferno was the popular version around here. I had the Ultimate and it was great for me, but I also threw the ball much differently back then.

I guess the question now with this discussion is which previous iteration the Vintage Inferno is going to be closest to. It should be the original Inferno, but is that how it actually is?

See a couple more votes for the Vapor Zone.  Always wondered why they didn't remake it.  Actually, not sure they didn't.  I always thought the Pearl Fury gave me a lot of Vapor Zone last look.
