Quantum Elite
« on: January 18, 2005, 06:41:10 AM »
I just got a new bowling ball, and I was just looking to get some information about it. I can't seem to find anything online so I am just asking around. I just bought a Quantum Elite, wondering if anyone knew good ball layouts on it, and what kind of roll I should expect to get. Usually I play it straight up 10 and I guess I would consider myself a stroker. Just wondering if anyone has any info? Thanks

There has been some mention of them here, but basically only that they were made by Brunswick. I've only seen them here,
http://www.bowlersparadise.com/shop/balls/elite/
and for sale on EBay.

I had mine drilled with the pin to the right of the ring finger plam rite on the CG, and this is one strong pearl ball.  For me the second the ball hits a dry board its makeing a left turn, so its a lot stronger than it is supposed to be.

anyother questions let me know i will answer to the best of my experince with the ball.

The ball is supposed to be a low rg core with the N'control coverstock. Basically, the cover wants to go long and snap while the core wants to roll early and arc. Mine is drilled pin next to ring finger. It glides through the heads and then rolls strong in the mids and backend. Carry is good. I don't roll it much because I find that the ball tends to be a bit unforgiving in that it won't hold much when I pull it and won't recover when I send it wide. I generally prefer higher rg cores, so please don't be put off by my experience. I think the Elite would roll great for a stroker or high speed tweener playing right up ten on a house shot.
