I can't remember owning a PK 18 pearl before. For those that have, how would it compare to a slayr/punisher or even the red pin?

The Rampage is going to be VERY strong for a pearl. Similar in overall strength to the original Inferno.

Antone remember the Black Ice DZ? That had PK 18 on it. That was a pretty sweet ball, just like this one.

I got some clarification for you from BrunsRich, the Brunswick rep here at ballreviews, when I asked about the Rampage vs the Smokin' Inferno:

"The difference between the Rampage and Smokin will be a decent amount of boards. You are talking pearl PK-18 and a new version of Activator. The Smokin eventhough will be cleaner than the Absolute, it will be still be more lateral than the Absolute. The Smokin will be basically below the Ultimate and the Absolute. The Rampage will be between the Nemesis (OOB) and the Punisher."

The Rampage should be earlier and stronger than the Punisher, handling more oil, but not early like a solid; earlier like a stronger pearl coverstock.

Well, the ball looks nice but I have that spot filled in the arsenal. Guess I'll have to pass...
