Compare Rampage and Smokin Inferno
« on: February 14, 2006, 03:18:37 AM »
Can anyone tell me the similarities or differences these two balls have?  Let's say the both of them are drilled the same and I am bowling on med. oil.
What kind of reaction can I expect from each one.  Does one ball have more lenght or more hook ect......?  I've heard that both of them are similar in some ways and different in others.

I have both of mine drilled similar (with similar pin/top) and also with the same surface prep (2000 Abralon with High gloss). Rampage has more pop on the backend once it hits the dry than the Smokim, but the Smokin does hook a little earlier and slightly smoother (not as jerky on the back). With mine I would say the Smokin is a couple of boards overall stronger than the Rampage, but the Rampage has a couple of boards more of backend (meaning the Rampage will get down 45 feet and turn hard, where the Smokin will go 42 feet and be not as hard but continous).
