Recently it hit me that, other than Lane #1 and MoRich stuff, the last Brunswick ball I bought for myself was a Johnny Petraglia Pro Zone signature ball about a decade ago (although my wife has done well with a Rampage).
So I've got a 16-pound Sidewinder coming, 2-3 inch pin, 3 oz top, and I'm trying to get the ball to mimic the reaction of some of the Lane #1 gear I like so much. Specifically, smooth and heavy rolling, more midlane than backend.
Is this ball good for that? I figured with it being a particle ball, it probably would be. I'm considering drilling it 5x3 or close to that, with the pin either just over or under the middle finger. I typically see drier-than-medium volume on my league so I really don't need this ball drilled in a way that it will try to do tricks.
Suggestions/opinions welcome.
