as above as i notice only storm/rotogrip has a definition announced to the public and i cant find any in big b's webby
thanks for the help
-
i wouldn't know......i've never seen a brunswick ball that would qualify as a blem. every one i've purchased has looked great right from the factory.
-
I once got a Total Inferno blem. It was a bright color orange. The color qualified it as a blem. I shot 300 with it out of the box....literally thought it rolled better than any other I ever seen. Also believe that was just a coincidence....looked great going down the lane.
-
IMO, anything color wise, number wise, printing wise (so on), is considered a blem. If it's not what they say it is, it should be considered one.
That's just me though.

Brunswick has not had blems for sale until recently. I have purchased several lately and the things I have found have been labels that aren't stamped completely, color variations, some some pit holes, some with 4-5 oz tops and some with pins over 5". All very drillable and usuable balls.I have a Maxx Zone,TF solid, some overseas Red Alerts,Copperhead, and some Morich balls that Brunswick pours for them.
-
I have drilled a good number of Brunswick balls that their employees get through their "employee store", I believe that is where all the seconds or blems go. I have seen a large number of them with issues when we take them out of the box.
ps. This was before the move to Mexico.
-
What is a Brunswick Blem?
LOL!!
Any ball with a Made in Mexico sticker on it...

An amateur staff player I'm friends with gets two sets of balls, one of them with regular specs and then another that's a blem or pro-pin type of ball, larger pin distance, doesn't look quite right, logo is stamped backwards..that type of crap.
Beans, how many appliances do you have? How many were made overseas? Point, Set, Match.

What does an appliance have to do with a bowling ball??
What does overseas have to do with Mexico which is not overseas?
All I want to know is when is Brunswick going to actually start marking their blems and 2nds??? With the quality of balls I have been getting from them as first quality priced balls. Some of the blems I have recv'd are actually better than the firsts...
What is keeping online sites, distributors and crooked pro shops from pawning off these blems and 2nds as first quality with first quality prices???
They need to start engraving these balls as blems...
Ebonite Products = Engraved x-out
Old Columbia = Bonanza and "X" Labels
Storm = "B" or "C" engraving in the serial number
900 Global = "X" engraved
Brunswick = Little sticker on box. But only half the time. No markings on ball itself.
You may think I am bashing Big B but in fact I am only lobbying for these changes for the betterment of the industry.
ENGRAVE THE BALLS!!!!!!

The ones I have gotten in my shop have the morich pins instead of the smaller ones that Brunswick uses.
-
When you get a Twisted Fury Destruction and it says "E"struction on it.
-
I just got a couple of Rattlers and it had the Rattler emblem next to the B emblem on 1 side of the ball and nothing on the other side. I do wish Brunswick would mark their CG better, sometimes they are hard to find.

That's why you weigh every ball before drilling it....

Oh look, signature updating finally works.
While I agree with your statement. It sure is a lot easier to verify a cg marking that is clearly visible than to try to find the cg on your own.

We agree with you that the CG's need to be marked better. We are currently working on it and hopefully will see a change soon.

Why bother? CGnomaddah. Unless you are bowling in a tournament or shoot an honor score who is going to weigh your ball to see if it's legal?
Just put the pin where ever you want and drill it up - weight isn't important.
(or so I've heard)
