Cover: PowerSurge Solid
RG: 2.587
Differential: 0.047
Anything similar from the B that's readily availiable? Powersurge coverstock is an awesome match for me as the Raven Quantum and Attitude 1 have been two of the best balls I've ever thrown, and two older balls that still handle some of the "tour volume" that I've bowled on. The past two weeks on the USBC Pattern in league I've had a look with my Raven that nothing else has given me. Strength and mistake room at the breakpoint.
Any experts have an honest comparison or something they've found that's similar? That remake of the Raven with the phased cover was nowhere close to the original IMO. I plan on definately taking my Raven Quantum out to USBC's but would like something close maybe with a more updated cover. Something long and smooth but still covers alot of boards off the spot without that big jerk like these new high response covers like to do.

Well... I have no experience with the ball you are talking about, but... the closest ball in terms of core numbers seems to be either the BVP Ambush or Nemesis

bowlingball.com had it remade. I don't know how close it was/is, but you might find out out there. Or at least if you are looking to be aware that there's a second generation made within the last 3 years.

I have a lightly used 15# original I'm willing to part with, only trouble though is it seems to have a particle coverstock!

the quantum raven was a reactive ball not a particle ball.

I'm well aware of that... Mine just was poured between batches and somehow managed to get some particle in it.

I've seen it. It does look like it has particle in it. Can't say for sure though.

your quantum raven must have been poured in 1998. when the raven first came out( april/may 1997 ) brunswicks particle balls had not yet been released from the factory.

Close up shot of the serial number definitely indicates that there is something extra in the coverstock.
