I really like the reviews i read about the speed zone, but it seems to me that the balls with this kinda core shape tend to leave 10 and 7 pins on some solid pocket shots. I watched people throw the Danger Zone 5, same core as the HPH and Speed Zone, and i notice that ususlly the 7 and 10 pins seem quite reluctant to drop. i am not saying that this is a bad ball or something,it has great control even on dry backends but is it something to do with the core? Is the speed zone a ball for medium light oil ? How long does the ArrowD cover last?

Show me a ball that doesn't leave corner pins, and I'll buy 3-4 cases - right now...

The speed zone lasts forever. And when it starts to lose reaction, have a resurface and oil extraction done, and it'll last forever again. I've had 3 of them - the first one I retired with honor when it was so beat up I felt sorry for it - it probably had 1000 games on it. The second one I sold, because at that time I couldn't plug it, and didn't want the layout I had on it. The third one I bought NIB about a year ago - it's not in the main bag right now, because I don't see conditions for it - but it's in the tournament bag. Still an awesome ball. I'd say based on your profile, it would be a medium oil ball - but depending on layout, it could be stronger than that. It comes with a fair amount of surface - and you can always add it - but with your speed, I'd caution you against it.

It's an awesome ball - I particularly like it for long oil sport shots - where I can play STRAIGHT UP 15 BOARD - because the ball will have enough left to hit hard when it gets there.

"old technology" - but one of the best ever from Brunswick - at least in my opinion.

Thanks for the opinions, it is just sometimes, really frustrating to leave a 10 pin when i hit the pocket solid...but some how, i have so far never left a 7 on a solid pocket, no idea why

Is this ball for medium -light? i like it to be just below my inferno(even though it is drilled negative, it still comes back from anywhere), above the MOnster slay/r

It will definitely be more than the Slay/R - but I'd say it depends on the layout of each of the OI and the Speed Zone which of those two would come out on top. Talk to your pro shop - hopefully they know your game, and can answer that.
I'd say my Speed Zone and OI are complimentary - one pearl, one solid - both probably move about the same amount - just shaped differently.

Oh - and added on edit - by the way - if you think leaving a 10 pin or two is too frustrating - you're in the wrong sport.

Leaving 10 pins tells me I'm close - it's something minor with my release, speed, or entry angle. Leaving buckets, 3-6-10s, etc - now that's not good news...
