After looking at another thread, I checked out the USBC approved ball list. After seeing what I was after, I looked around and came upon where the zone classic was. I was surprised to see this.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v326/a_ak57/ZoneClassicApproval.jpgUnless it's a typo, Brunswick had the Red Pin zone classic sent in
before the green pin to be approved as a new ball. Assuming the list isn't an error, what does that mean in terms of the long assumed "during production a batch of the green pins cured too long, so brunswick put in red pins" thing? Of course, that could have still happened and probably did, but it seems odd that the red pin would be sent in first for approval before the assumed regular version was. Could there be something behind this, like brunswick planning to release the two versions as a combo but decided not to, or am I really just that bored on a Sunday thinking up conspiracy theories about trivial and insignificant things?
Your thoughts, other than I'm crazy?
