Title: What's next ?
Post by: DON DRAPER on April 09, 2012, 03:40:04 PM
I noticed on Brunswick's website that the following bowling balls have been retired:
C-System ulti-max
C-System alpha-max
Wicked Siege
Lethal Revolver
Massive Damage
These balls were just recently retired. I wonder what their replacements will be ? If they're anywhere near as good as the Nexus or C-System lines we're in for some very good bowling equipment.

Its just like every other year, all companies discontinue a bunch of balls around this time of year and will be announcing a bunch of new ones in the next couple months (bowl expo etc) to replace them.

Yes, thanks for this info. However, I already knew this to be true. I was just searching......maybe, just maybe, somebody had some "inside" news that would be worthy of our attention.......

Grab a Massive Damage while you still can. Best all-around ball I've thrown from any manufacturer in a long time.
I hope they don't discontinue that line. I never saw a lot of hype around them, except from those of us who own them.

the Massive Damage cover is used on several bowling balls from Brunswick. including the new Karma. By far one of my favorite coverstocks.

The Damage and Revolver series have been discontinued. We plan to move forward offering TZones, Viz A Ball, Slingshot, Karma, C-System and Nexus series balls. We found success in the simplicity of the DV8 lineup, so we are eliminating the Damage/Revolver price points and offering the C System technology at a lower price.
Information for the new performance balls will be out around Bowl Expo time. Take care!

Not a bad idea. The Activator+ Karma is certainly a sign that this ball line is juiced up a bit, covering the former mid range offerings. Some lower RG core in that line would make IMHO sense, though, if anything else is eliminated?

My guess would be a really strong Nexus pearl to fit the gap between the current pearl and solids...a low RG rollier piece.

What else do you need between the Nexus line, the Nexxus, Versa Max, Ulti Max, and the Karma balls.
Don't believe in the Uzi, it just went off in my hand. I, I believe in love.

After seeing the Versa Max and the Nexxus on television, and having a Nexus f + p, C System 2.5, and Wicked Siege in the bag, I think I'm covered for the next ten years.

Mine hooked a ton, so I actually prefer the Loaded Revolver (same cover w/ symmetrical core).

Since the Massive Damage and Pink/Purple Karma share the same coverstock, how much difference are between those two given the cores?

Versa Max, P+R, and a good pearl or hybrid similar to the Frantic from Storm would cover a lot of conditions for me.
