Most of the "ball reviews" are people with very little experience in ball motion or drilling techniques. A lot of them are kids who just started bowling weeks or a year or two ago and because they surf the bowling websites are now so called "experts" on the subject.
You have to weed out the good with the bad. Some of the better ones that I see are from Bob Hanson, Anthony Chapman, Jason Kovach, etc. These players are pretty experienced on a variety of conditions and from there reviews, seem to have a pretty good handle at what is going on.
Take the review subjectively and realize it is just someone with a computer and log on name with out a clue. The game is full of them. The worst are the e-bay selling assistants. They put things down in the description that make you laugh and wonder if they know a thing about what they are selling.
