Not a ton of difference, really... At least not for me. I have owned both and found that the Vapor was slightly longer and harder off the spot. Really just a difference in your preference of reaction shape.

so if I already own a AI, i should not look for the vapor? which ball should be above AI for med-oily lane?

I wouldn't have both unless it's a pretty large arsenal.  You could get some separation if you put very different layouts on them and altered the surfaces, but there are probably better ways to do that with other balls.

BrooklynSlop is right, though.  The asymmetric VZ will be slightly longer and more angular.
