A year and a half or so ago, I had an Impluse Zone that simply would not work for me no matter what surface I tried and what lane condition I tried to use it on, that ball simply would not work for me. I finally sold it and swore that I would never buy/throw another Brunswick ball again.
Meanwhile since that time, I wanted to sort of try another Brunswick ball, but my pride wouldn't let me try another since I had said I would never buy/throw one again. Well, you know how that old saying goes and that is to "never say never". I finally gave in and traded a NIB Track Machine for a NIB Brunswick Absolute Inferno. Received the ball today, took it to proshop to get it drilled as soon as it arrived, then tried it for two games, and let me tell you, I
LOVE that ball. Tried on some synthetic lanes with a lot of carry down from kids throwing plastic balls all over the place today, and bowled 166 the first game trying to find a line and 224 the second game after finding a line. That ball has such a nice hard smooth arc on the backend. I mean it is really strong on the backend. Can't wait to try it again on these same synthetic lanes as well as some wood lanes in another house that I also bowl in.
Ball has a 2" Pin, weighs 14-2, has Top Weight of 2 oz. and is drilled 4 1/2 x 4 with the Pin under RF and part way into bridge. Ball didn't require a weight hole.
Anyhow, to finish this off, I am now sitting here eating crow, and if the ball continues to perform like it did today, I can stand to eat some more crow.
