Why did Mika use Original Inferno??
« on: March 03, 2008, 01:14:08 AM »
With all of the option out there, why did Mika choose the original inferno this weekend. I know it is a good ball, I have two of them.

My guess is that he wanted something to match up with the guardian/wood surface, but I would think that some of the new Brunswick ball would do this and maybe better.

He was using that ball all week I think. I watched the round of 16 up there and he was throwing that and a Twisted Fury here and there.

From what I could see on TV, the ball did not give him any better look.

I thought he had a good look. Unfortunately, he grabbed a few crucial shots and it cost him since it wasn't a house shot and there wasn't any "hold" area to rescue him.

Regardless of its age its one of best balls of all time and a look you can't get from Brunswick right now. I'm sure most on staff still one or two around there somewhere.

No doubt, great ball, I have two of them. Perhaps you are right, operators error.

Let's see allow staffers to use any ball and make the show or force to use new equipment and not make the show. I would allow to use any and make the show if it was up to me that way my brand was on the show.

It is one of the best balls ever made... I thought for sure they had to throw new equipment though if on staff.  Oh well, Barnes won.
