Jeff, seeing that you also like Roto as I do, I found the ScreamR a great ball, and could suggest you look into something similar. Another thought is to try something with the PK18 cover, since you like that as well.

Jeff, I have the Inferno with a 3 3/8 pin below the ring finger and it is a great ball.  Like everyone says you might have to tweak the cover as it will skate on carrydown with to much shine or speed.  I also have the Warp Zone with a medium/strong drilling and just brought the finish up a little last night to put a little length and control on the backend and went 701(236-228-237) playing a small belly shot.  I am finding this ball really versatile.  I am afraid people will look by it because of its hook rating. I, like you love to experiment and I am afraid to say probably have as many balls as you.

If you have oil I love my Detonator smoothed down to 5 micron.  It shows the churnin, burnin, turnin fuze core so well.

I also on oil really like my new Warp Zone drilled 4 X 4 with mass bias under thumb(A little off line).  This ball is not the heaviest oil ball I've ever seen but I love this core motion that comes from this strongly assymetrical ball and this drilling which I also loved on my Rebel!

Jeff, the Inferno is a good-hard hitting ball........."on the right conditions."....... If you've kept up with the Inferno, you will note that a number of people on this site, myself included, have complained about too much over/under and also leaving 10 Pins. I tried various sandings and polishings to make this ball more controllable and the best luck I had (with what luck I had on this ball) was a 1500 wet sand and no polish. Some people had their best luck at 2000 wet sand and no polish. I sold mine as I found better choices. I haven't thrown the Bruiser and Smash R, but from what I've seen from other people throwing them, they are excellent choices.

I also had the over/under problem with my inferno when I first got it. So I sanded it down 600 then polished it. Solved the over/under, made it very controllable, and don't have a 7pin (lefty)problem like a lot of other say they have.  Like my profile says, I love my Inferno. lol
