Title: Wild Ride and Rattler..
Post by: MTD300 on December 13, 2008, 06:37:17 AM
The two new releases.

All I know is, the Wild Ride is meant to be extremely long and strong (like a storm ball reaction) and the Rattler is in between the Swarm and the Copperhead, don't quote me on that though.

Look for these Jan time maybe early Feb.

Wild Ride is aysymetric and Rattler is symetric.

Rattler is budget range and the Wild Ride is Zone range, although high performance its a little cheaper.

I can't wait for the Wild Ride..

The Wild Ride has a brand new cover with the orginal twisted core, in theory is suppose to be long and angular.

The Rattler has the same core as the Sidewinder and Copperhead but with the original activator cover.  I would expect this ball to be longer in the line also.  Both balls look nice with the color schemes.

I don't understand why were already hating on the these new releases. Everyone wants Big B to have longer and stronger stuff.  They come out with it now it will only work on house shots???????  Maybe give it a chance......

Anything we need...?

Rattler sound good, though, if it is a pearl(?), this is the ball I had been waiting for about 2 years ago...

When was the last time you saw a Brunswick ball 'go long and snap off'? What Brunswick is attempting, is to compliment there general characteristic of earlier, smoother reactions.
A. On house conditions, everything typically responds the same way, within a board or 2.
B. When they are fresh, Brunswick balls react as well, if not better, than any other cover on the market. They are trying to compliment this reaction for later through transition and breakdown.
C. Most bowlers do not understand ball reaction and what is best for their games. It's similar to hitting driver on every hole, no matter what. Balls that tend to be smoother, transition wise, are better for the masses.

I've seen more than a few Rampages kick sideways on the backends.

Wild Ride -

Artikelnummer: 60-104978-93X Schale: ConneXion Reactive 2-Color Pearl Black Onyx / Navy Oberfläche: Rough Buff Hakenpotential: 145 Länge: 120 Breakppoint: 90 Härte: 76-78

That's Rough Buff finish, 145 hook potential, 120 length, 90 breakpoint shape.... interesting stuff, that's really a lot of 'length' for a rough buff finish ball!

Cool, the Rattler IS a pearl Activator ball! But too late, got burned by the Smash Zone... and have an option on a G-3 Gryphon

Just wonder about the Wild Ride - it is supposed to be angular on anything, which reads "very responsive to dry boards" to me. Remember the Radical Inferno... beware!

The German import company SPOBAG has them on their website, too: http://www.spobag.de/ but also only in German.

The Wild Ride is not even close to the Radical Inferno. Nor will it be similar to the Destruction. This is a entirely different cover stock compostion. It is not so much how it responds to friction, as much as how it responds throughout the lane. It will be different similar to how Activator was.

The Rattler will be a longer, cleaner Absolute Inferno.

Is that anything like the 0-2" pins that Lane #1 always sells as blems or should I say cheaper? Cause you know, unless the pin is between 2 1/2-4", you can't lay it out, right Bean?
And remember, if a Lane #1 ball rolls bad, it's laid out wrong...d**n static weights...

Maybe a lot like the Original Inferno. (PRETTY PLEASE?)

Been looking to retire my original inferno and was looking at the swarm. Think I'll just wait till '09 now.

I think it will be stronger overall than the Original. And I think it will more versatile than the Swarm, although the Swarm is not a bad piece.

With very similar layouts the Smash Zone and Wild Ride went about as long as each other, although fairly angular the Smash Zone hooked about 5-6 boards, the Wild Ride kept going hooking about 10-11 boards. This was on a 41ft pattern.

The Radical was a flop for most players, I feel Brunswick have got the long and strong characteristics right this time around!!!

These will compliment the current line great!
