wild thing question
« on: January 08, 2012, 11:01:32 AM »
ok, i am a tweener, throw with  decent amount of revs, throw on wood lanes with overlays (extra friction) which the proprieter counters with about 25-30 ( woops)units of oil (walk down the side of the lanes and you can see it sitting on the lane) on a 39 ft pattern.  i primarily throw a pin (3 in) up cg kicked out about 5* 15lb tropical heat pearl.  start at bout 23 left foot and out to 8-9.  my question is, how would a wild thing look compared to my tropical hp?  my pro shop guy has one in the case, 4 in pin.  i like the look, like symetric balls, and could get a good deal but have not seen one thrown, and not alot of videos.  i see guys using c systems 3.5 (i know its symetric and weaker) and 4.5 (not symetric and stronger) and these guys do ok, but i assume the wild thing would be weaker than at least the 4.5.  any help would be nice.

oh yeah, just looking for a predictable pearl syemtric above my tropical heat (i know i have the victory road, but don't like too much.  doesnt fit my eye real well, not a bad ball)

I have had both the Wild Thing and C*(System) 4.5 and they are similar with the 4.5 having a little more backend reaction.  The Wild Thing is a great ball and would be stronger than the tropical heat pearl.

Good luck bowling the rest of the year.
