Oh, and by the way, as long as I'm in a picky mood ...

If you Brunswick guys are SPECIFYING the use of a (dum, dah, dah, dummmmm) "micro pad" in doing the surface of your balls, how about telling up peons where to get them and what they are and which brand you're using???

And, puh-leeze, don't give us the same BS that Ebonite gave us a few years back. As in, here are the Abralon pads, we'll sell them to you and they're $6 each PLUS SHIPPING. That BS won't cut it.

Charlest sent you a message but I think I messed up, so will
let everybody comment.  I have the set of pads from rockler.
Not sure if this is what they are talking about or not.  I do not have a spinner but using by hand they last longer than abralon.  The foam is not as
thick as abralon. I just stuck a piece of velcro to a glove and the pads work great by hand.  the grades are not the same as ansi or abralon.

ex:  1500 micro mesh is ansi 400 between P600 and P800.  The second link
go down to the section about regular, it says they can be used on urethanes.

The last time I posted this about 3 months a go the thread disappeared.
Haven't been able to find it, let's see what happens this time.

Sorry, didnt get it.

Those are called Micro-Mesh pads. They are made in Japan and the grit level is that of Japanese abrasives. They've been around for many years. They're kind of expensive for what they offer. I also do some woodworking ocassionally and have seen them in various catalogs for more than 10 years.
But thanks anyway.

We are introducing them in a few weeks at Bowl Expo and once the shipments arrive, we will get them to all distributors that choose to carry them. We expect this will all happen by the end of July, in time for the new season.

There will be no need for a conversion of any kind. They have the same grit meanings based on whatever number they are. There will be a few other grits that are not currently available with other pads.

I believe they will follow the same chain of sales as other items. Brunswick-Distributor-Pro Shop-Consumer.

Charlest my friend, are you still on the "riot train".

It seems you're feeling a bit rebellious lately!

-Hello?? Anyone to home????

-Oh, and by the way, as long as I'm in a picky mood ...

- Hey, isn't anyone going to whine that ...

Greetings and all the best from Belgium,

Antoine

I think we've learned from Brunswick what we needed about the pads.
