Since moving up in weight I havent been able to find a ball that reacted like my AI which was my favorite ball. The wild thing looks like the closest thing to it right now but I would like to hear some feedback from people that have thrown it and can compair the two. Thanks.

IME the Wild Thing is a few boards stronger overall than the Absolute, and has a sharper reaction at the breakpoint.

^^^^ I agree with Ray. ^^^^
With the surface at around 2000 you'll see it read somewhat more smoothly.
Last night we drilled one for a friend who had thrown 7 games all summer long. He's got plenty of ball speed so I knocked the gloss off of it. First 3 games for him with it were 770. He likes it a lot!

I was talking to my pro shop guy and he said it was the closest ball brunswick has to the AI from what he has seen and I really want to stick with brunswick. I have a rattler and a sidewinder reactive and neither one of them lets me open up the lane the way my AI did which is why I was looking at this.
-
I can open up the lane better with the Wild Thing than any ball in recent memory. I say go for it!

The Wild Thing definitely lets me open up the lane. It is quickly becoming one of my all time favorites.

Well I guess I know what im getting next pay check. Thanks to everyone who took the time to reply.

Random thought but what about the new c-system 2.5? Would that be more of what im looking for? I know most people dont have it yet but maybe some staffers can help me out again. Thanks
-
It depends on what conditions you see. If you don't see much carry-down you'll probably like the Wild Thing, which is a beast whenever the backends are good.
The reports from PBA and staffers are that the 2.5 is very good on fresh, but GREAT through any carry-down. I will be drilling mine tomorrow and will start using it this week.

Probably not, if you're looking to replace an Absolute Inferno. The Wild Thing has more of that gradual-but-continuous Inferno-like shape from front to back, while (for me, at least) the C-System is much sharper at the break and is stronger overall.

I think im going to go with the wild thing. Thank you guys for taking the time to answer my questions.

I just got back from throwing my new wild thing and im very impressed. This ball gave me a look I didnt have in my bag, it has such a strong move but it was never over under. The first game I was having trouble getting much of a reaction so I went over it with a green scotch bright by hand with little pressure and it turned into what I expected. Overall im very happy with it and I cant wait to throw it in league.
-
Glad to hear it. Please keep us posted on how it works for you.
