Hey everyone, im new to this board and had a question about the drill i have on a new Smokin' Inferno I purchased. It was a special offer from bowlingball.com, with a white pin, not the original red. I've been bowling seriously for about 6 months now, 5 months in league. i bowl right handed, with a lot of revs, with a ball speed of about 15 mph. When i received the ball, it came with the brunswick sheet which had the recommended drill on them. I don't know too much about drilling, but according to the sheet, the longer lasting balls are all drilled above the fingers. the previous ball i was using was a Raw Hammer Doom, and the pin was drilled below the ring finger, just a bit to the right, with the cg down center line of grip. i told my pro shop driller that i wanted the ball to last longer this time because i was having problems with the ball hooking too early. i showed him the sheet and he said he already knew what to do. when i came back to pick it up, the ball was drilled with the pin even lower then my doom, and even closer to the center line. i tried it out on the lanes that day, and i was having problems even getting it to the pocket. even though the reaction was good, all of my strikes were brooklyn. another thing my friend had pointed out was that he thought he heard the ball rolling over some of the holes. when i checked the track on my ball after a shot, i did see oil build up on my ring finger insert.
i have a picture of my doom and my inferno in the links below, any help would be appreciated, thanks
Garrett
