Just curious with the release of the new Vapor Zone how long the Zone Classic will remain in the line-up. Also, it is one of older balls that Brunswick in still making (right up there with the Nemesis, Goliath & Ultimate).

Didn't they discontinue the Original Inferno around the time of the Absolute even though they provided different distinct reactions? Not sure about this but for some reason it rings a bell.

LOL Brunswick Lefty!! I was one of the few who never got around to punchin up an Inferno. I think I was throwing Hammer at the time.....
But anyways, I was just wondering because right now I've got 2 Classics and if they're gonna be gone soon I was make sure to keep enough $$$$ in the bank to pick-up a couple. Still gonna pick up an Ambush and Vapor Zone but will skip the Ipod Nano if the Zone Classic will be discontinued in the near future.

If anything goes, I see the Ambush taking the spot the Impulze used to fill.

A little off topic:
How many bowling balls, from a bowler's perspective, should Brunswick have in each line? How many is possible to design, produce, stock, and sell?

Well, that largly depends on the type of bowler. For the league bowler, 2 balls would be enough. For the league bowler, that occasionally shoots tourneys, even THS at other houses 4 would be fine. For the professional or competetive scratch bowler, many balls in the line would be better.
It is all about matching up to maximize your scoring.

Yea I think 6-7 balls per line is pushing it.
Personally, from working in a Pro Shop and bowling competitively I think about 4 per line would be good.
Something like:
1 Solid Reactive
1 Pearl Reactive
1 Particle
1 Particle Pearl
And...I think no more than 2 different cores per line.
I think by doing something like this you can allow bowlers to make better decisions when it comes to buying a new ball. If they want something longer all the need to do is buy whatever in that line would be below what they have.
Like what Brunswick has in the BVP line. All the same core (I know the rg is a little higher on the Goliath) but they have it all covered.

shot 289 last night and a 268 last week with my classic during league. I definelty agree with lefty.

IIRC, the original Inferno was released in January or February of 2003, so it was in the catalog for 2 1/2 years. I had heard that the Inferno was discontinued because its sales were ramping down.
The Zone Classic came out last Summer, so I'd envision that it would remain in the catalog until next Summer at the least.

I don't understand how the first or second best pearl reactive in Brunswick's line could've slumped in sales.

Because after everyone bought their first and second they decided to try the ZC.
