Duplicate Site Supports?
« on: December 30, 2010, 07:51:42 AM »
When I go to Forum Latest Posts, towards the end I see:

Site Support: Bug Reports

Site Support: Comments And Suggestions

Site Support: Bug Reports

Site Support: Comments And Suggestions

Even though the forums are duplicated, there are different topics in each.

Also, is there some way that the Notify Me Of Any Replies can be put in our Profile areas and give us the option as to what the default value would be and make it permanent, instead of always having to uncheck the box for each message?   Or make the default on the message panel 'off' instead of 'on'.  Might save the site server some space.

I haven't noticed the duplicates yet, but will keep an eye out for it.

I'll see what I can do about putting a "Posts I am Subscribed to" under the My Info area.

Thanks!

Re: Duplicate forums.

I am using Firefox 3.6.13, WinXP.  I may be experiencing this because I do not click on the Log Off button, I just close the browser window tab.  When I get back on the computer, I just open a new Tab and  enter this site's address.  When the page loads, I am still logged on and my Latest Posts shows an additional set of the Support Forums, now at four each.  Also, my last Login date still shows as yesterday.

This should be fixed now -- I reprogrammed the page so it loads faster and is easier to read.

Thanks, Admin, the dupes are gone.

I logged out yesterday and just now logged back in today, but my Last Login shows up as 29Dec and I am seeing all of the posts since that time even though I have already gone thru most of them.  Is there a way to update my Last Login Date so that I will only see the latest posts?

Did you log out or just close your browser?  I have a little bug in the script that I will look at over the weekend.  For now, make sure you click on the door with the red arrow on the upper right ti physically log out.

I did log out, although I kept the browser program (Firefox) open, I did close the tab I had been using.

Edited to add:  I did open a new tab today and had to log back in to the site.
