For the last 2 days, Friday, 3/20 and today, 3/12/15, I am getting this message,
"Error, SMF cannot access database, probably due to volume activity"
or words to that effect.

I got this when I tried to access a post or I hit refresh on a current screen with this web site.Yesterday I got this for several hours. I thought it had cleared up, but I just got it again right now, 10:40 AM Eastern DST for about 15 minutes.

I don't get it while browsing any other web site; so it must be specific to Ballreviews.com.

Is Ballrevews moving a/the database to another server or what else is going on?

Backup job gone crazy was creating a lock on the db. I've sorted out the issue and *hopefully* fixed it so we won't run into that issue in the future.
