This message is not meant to bash beans pro shop, i'm just curious about something...has anybody gotten anything from him as far as bonanza's go, that didn't react anything like the ball that they look like? just curious. i understand it's a potluck, but if something looks like a gp2 i'm gunna drill it as a gp2 and don't want to be dissapointed. lmk. if so i'll take some pics when i get mine and i'll see what u guys think it is. thanks.

The AMF Triumph cores are in the AMF Changelings.  They have superflex coverstock, but the colors are from over-runs during production, so it could look like a Velocity, Rule, Big Bully, etc.

Bonanzas are supposed to be blems of current balls - either color blems, unusual pins or cg's, or undesireable top weights.

I have 2 Bonanza's, but haven't drilled them up.  They are 15lb and I'm currently throwing 14, so they will have to wait.

There was a lenghty thread in the Columbia forum not too long ago (here - http://www.ballreviews.com/Forum/Replies.asp?TopicID=76612&ForumID=3&CategoryID=2), and you can search the AMF forum for some info on the Changeling (here - http://www.ballreviews.com/Forum/Replies.asp?TopicID=78308&ForumID=1&CategoryID=2).

Bonanzas are blems as we all know...BUT, 90% of them are of what they look like...Ihave well over 10 honor scores with these balls and have drilled 100's of them... All the Bonanza's that I sell have a proven drill sheet I have written...That's the best I could do for all of you guys...And remember.....It's hard to get a White Dot for $50-60 shipped.  LOL   beans

I still have a ton of these balls. I just opened a couple cases of TNT....Message me if you need any.  beans

Beans, certainly no complaint here for a NIB potluck ball for $50.

However, if you (or someone) could help me understand what else could be going on with the ball, I'd appreciate it.

The ball appears to be a Bully (orange pin, dark blue) and was probably blem'd because of color variations and maybe, just maybe for the 7.5" pin (maybe).  

Drilled the ball the only way possible with the long pin: pin over the fingers for a late, strong finish.  Ball is very long (of course) with a very mellow break.  I have weight room for rev hole but I'm thinking this ball might be a good burnt out condition ball so I'll probably leave it alone.  

Question (finally) is: I was under the impression that the Bully was a fairly strong ball.  Could there be a core blem issue that would cause the mellow reaction?   We did confirm the cg placement.

I got one of the first potluck bonanza balls that supposedly was a GP2 well it turned out to be an overdrive...If you wanna see pics of it just message me...it turned out to be a pos...and the backyard bully my friend supposedly got as a bonanza ball turned out to be more like a scout/r or a hyde...just my two cents but they are potluck you got what ya paid for...if you are really uncertain of the ball you should probably just drill it up and if it sucks I have a shotgun I like target practicing with....have a good one
