I have witnessed many posters saying that this site needs to do this, and this site needs to do that about people being ripped off selling or trading with someone. I understand the frustration, but there is no way that is going to happen. When BH first took over the site he was asked repeatedly about putting up a FORUM strictly for posting good and bad users, and he declined. I along with a few other users made a lesser known room into our very own forum for posting good and bad transactions. That is what led to the forum you are now in.

Most of us understand that the purpose of the Good/Bad trasactions forum is to police ourselves. BH is not going to be involved. It is not required to have the wanted/forsale/trade forum here. If he keeps getting bothered with this kind of stuff, that could very well be taken away.

We are in a better position than we were in over a year ago. If you think there are alot of bad transactions now, it used to be much, MUCH more. SO, lets get back to "watching eachother's backs", and complain less about the site. We choose who we are going to deal with, and we live and we learn.

We're all(or mostly) adults here who should be able to be honest with each other when making a deal.If someone gets burned then simply post it so that others can read of a bad experience from the person who didn't hold up their end of the bargain and no one should buy from them again. Maybe post the address they gave so that this can be compared.
As to people who change their handle here to keep on with bad deals,if the city is the same as a bad deal from before,ask someone here who lives in the same city to check out this person for you.
I will say that the ball I bought from a member here was exactly as stated and he received his money as soon as Paypal sent it. Both of us were satisfied.

EXCALIBER you are so right when stating that watching each others backs". But it seems in this past bout with the infamous Matt Wagar, people did know it was him as Crazy11, and yet, never informed the BR community.

EX, you are undoubtedly one of the more established, and respected members here. Hopefully it will folks such as yourself that will "wake up" the others.

I have to say once again what a pleasure it was to deal with you, and that my son is overjoyed with the ball!

Yes, my son, 17 years old, and I insist that ANY internet transactions go through me! He works, he pays for the items, but all transactions are through me.

isnt there a way that ballreviews can mark all the new users with some sort of icon? i think that might help all of the user name changes, but it doesn't prevent the creating of another account

Hi, my name is Kyle. How are you guys doing?? I know lots of kids get on here and rip ppl off. But, for the record I am 14 years old an have done 2 wonderful transactions. I am in the middle of another right now. So, I just ask that people dont hold anything against me for being a kid. Thanks. Kyle

OK.....I think we are getting a little off track with this thread. The entire purpose was this:

Stop asking about the site fixing problems with transactions. We have to police ourselves, and make sure people know about both GOOD and BAD transactions.

The parents taking care of their kids is a MUST....but not he point of this thread.

Excaliber this can only happen IF people do "watch each others backs"! And that is NOT happening at present, unfortunately. This is why when I saw a bogus camera deal I exposed it, and exposed it again as the origional post was deleted and a 2nd started.

One way I have avoided being ripped off is to not do business with any one unless they have done a prior deal on here and it was successful. if they havent then i simply request money first either by way of paypal or money order. if a trade is in the works then i request the ball first from them and send my ball after I have recieved thiers. i have stopped alot of people from ripping me off by doing this. they say they have sent the ball and begg me to send mine but I stick to my guns. If they want the ball i have that badly then they will meet my demands or stipulations. I will usauly require atleast 3-4 deals before sending a ball @ the same time when doing a trade. Thats business, if you have intentions on following through then it shouldnt be that big of a deal and you can wait. if you cant wait the look else where. My two cents and things to consider when approached by a NOOBIE.

It probably would not hurt to bring this post back to the top -TECHSUPPORT has a great idea.....RESPECT is just like CREDIT -- it is earned ---- If you have any doubts about the trade, set your requirements and stick to them -- especially if you don't know the person --- I've had all good experiences on the purchases I have made on this site --- I also happen to be a blue star on e-bay -- 50 transactions --- all with positive feedback ----I've spent my entire business career in commercial credit ---- the first thing we ask for are REFERENCES (OR A D & B RATING) --- It's not always perfect, but the idea is to REDUCE THE RISK FACTOR... a minimal check up front may save you a lot of hearache later
