UPDATE: I still do NOT have the ball and I am having a very hard time dealing with fed ex as the recipient. I was going to try to take care of this on my end, but its becoming way to much trouble. I still feel as if its the shipper/buyers responsibility to make sure the item is delivered to the recipient before the deal can be considered COMPLETE, but was trying to help ike out because he has school work (and we have done multiple deals in the past) and bowling but this whole thing has worn me down. Iketwown had contacted me a few days ago stating he would call fedex last Monday am but don't really know what they told him. The fed ex person today told me there where no notes in the file stating the shipper had ever called them. I have no clue how accurate there records are as far as that goes.
I have sent iketwown300 a message stating that he should go ahead and pay me for the ball and file the claim himself. Fed ex people have been telling me the normal procedure is for the SHIPPER to file the claim, NOT the recipient. I have yet to hear back from iketwown on this.
As a very reputable seller/buyer on this forum, I have in the past had this happen one other time and I as the seller and shipper of the item, went ahead and paid the buyer and filed the claim myself and received the funds back from the shipping company in approx 2 weeks after the claim was filed.
I am hoping iketown300 will agree to this request. This original deal was a one for one trade, plus $8 (for shipping) and he already has his ball.
I will keep everyone updated. This has been a nightmare. Talking to fed ex everyday on the phone and can't get a straight answer as to where the package is and what to do to get the claim process started..
