Basically, he agreed to sell me a ball for $60, and comes back trying to haggle $5 more bucks out of my wallet not an hour later saying someone ofered $5 more after he agreed to sell it to me.

He has a thread in the for sale forum with several balls. I have wanted to try out a radical inferno for a while, he had one in 14#, so I offered to buy it. Now, the thread has been relatively stagnant for some time, so I made an offer for his asking price, $50.00 US, shipped. He wanted $60 total to cover shipping and I said sure, what's your paypal address. He says great, my address is blahblablah... not an HOUR LATER, he sends me some BS PM starting off saying I hadn't paid him yet (SORRY BUD, SOME OF US ARE AT WORK AT NOON ON TUESDAY!) and someone offered to pay $65 for it shipped. 5 bucks more.

Come on, dude. no one posted crap about the ball in SOME TIME, I agree to buy it at $60, then all the sudden you get a buyer for *gasp* $15 shipping and the $50 for the ball? If you're willing to throw this kind of BS in my face for $5... that you are willing to renig on a sale for FIVE FREAKING DOLLARS... you have some ethical issues to work out.

I hope whoever is sending you the extra $5 is happy with the ball. I will just be content to post the entire contents of our PMs, with time stamps, showing how much of a bum you are.

Yes, I did delete my post.  I didn't want to come on here and try to explain myself but since the topic is "Avoid Jrgriff759 like the plague" I just wanted to put up my side here.  If no one will be interested in any of my stuff in the future becuz of this, I will have to live with my decision.

DonSVO was right, the post was very old on ballreviews.  I hadn't gotten much interest in the balls on here.  But it's not like this is the only place I will try to sell my used stuff.  

I had local person who was interested in the ball a few weeks ago and I was talking to him after DonSVO had made me an offer and he offered me more than DonSVO.  I hadn't recieved any money from DonSVO.  I understand that he had messaged me, but how do I know that his circumstances didn't change.  I have had a few people in the past who are interested and say I will send money and then back out.  

I thought I was doing the right thing by telling my local guy that I sort of had a deal with someone else 1st and if he didn't want to pay the same as he was offering then I would sell it to him.  Obviously, I came across in the wrong way.  But I thought if I messaged him back and said the deal was off, then "this type of post" would be put up.  

I'm sorry for wanting to make the most money I can back on a ball, especially when you pay $175 to begin with. And from DonSVO's post, it wasn't just 5 bucks....I didn't have to ship anything so really I'd be getting more than that.  I know that doesn't make DonSVO better or help my cause in the future.  I probably should have been more honest with DonSVO and told him about the local guy or waited until I got a firm answer from the person here.

I understand DonSVO is very upset and I'm sorry it is nothing personal.  He seemed very nice in his messages.  I just did what was best for me.

jrgriff759, I respect your decision coming onto this tread and telling your side of the story. Some people will go hide back under the rock the crawled out from.

I am not involved in this deal but when someone makes a deal, they should abide by it. Sounds like the deal was done. You could have pleaded with DonSVO to let you out of the deal because you did find someone who would pay higher. It would have been DonSVO's choice at that time to let you sell to someone else. I'm sure if you told DonSVO in a polite way that you really needed the money and blah, blah, blah, he would have said ok.
