STNCLD25 ~ neutral
« on: February 14, 2005, 12:12:18 AM »
I bought a single drill WMB from this guy, promptly send payment via paypal and began to wait. A week went by and no equipment, another week and no equipment. I sent a few Ball Reviews private messages and messages to his paypal email address, but no responses.

At the end of the second week, I sent a message stating that I needed either a refund or a tracking number for the package OR I would have to file a claim with paypal. I quickly received a very short message back stating that,
“He was selling the ball for a friend and needed to get the tracking information from him.”

Another week passed and no equipment. The seller claimed to ship the ball, but nothing arrived. Several more messages and each time I was either told the ball was shipped or he would get the tracking number from his friend. Finally I was told that UPS had delivered the ball to the wrong address and it would need to be re-shipped.

A couple days ago I received a message from him (while I was at work), stating that UPS had delivered the ball, according to the tracking number. But he wouldn't send the tracking number. When I arrived home that evening… no equipment. This is the last I have heard from him.

This morning I received a notice from Paypal regarding my claim,

“We have determined that the seller is at fault in this matter but regret to
inform you that we were unable to recover any funds from the seller's
account. As stated in the PayPal User Agreement, recovery of funds
associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed. "

So obviously this guy either closed his paypal account or at a minimum withdrew the funds from the account (which isn't linked to a credit card or a bank account).

**Received a message from seller stating that his friend gave him the wrong UPS tracking number... and was now out of town.  SO, I was offer another piece of equipment to replace.  I agreed, hoping to get something out of the deal...  I will keep updated.

Offered to "replace" the WMB with a mid-line ball on Monday 2-14.  although I have severely overpaid (expecting to get a WMB), I decided to accept as I would be happy to get anything out of this deal.  Was told it would be shipping on Sat (five days after the message).  Not sure as to why it would take 5 days to send a ball, but whatever.  On Sat I PM'ed the guy asking if it was actually shipped...  heard nothing.  Well, if it were shipped on sat... it should have arrived here on tuesday.  No big surprise, nothing showed up on tuesday.  Wednesday I received a PM from him asking if the ORIGINAL WMB from a month and a half ago had arrived?  Hello?
And then the seller had the nerve to state that if the WMB didn't arrive he would ship the "mid-line" ball on the following wednesday...six days later.  He had already promised that he would ship it the previous saturday?!?!  I've had it... its been almost two months and he's still playing games... I'm tired of dealing with this guy.  I've already filed paypal..which ended with no success as he withdrew the funds...  if I don't have a refund or a tracking number by tomorrow.. I'm filing fraud and calling the local police (I probably should have done this weeks ago)....
don't deal with this guy

You know I have had multiple deals with this guy. I bought 4 balls at a time three of four times and never had any problems. I was intrested in the same WMB that you bought but decided no to but it because of a neg. drilled pin. I did however buy his personal WMB and it was delivered just as promised. Sorry to hear thet you had a problem.

The reason I dealt with thuis guy in the first place is because awhile ago, I had made a deal with him and it turned out alright (although in that case there was very little communication (and no tracking number) either... the ball just showed up).  Its just hard for me to believe that anyone can continually state over and over that a ball has been shipped (and even stated one time that the tracking number said the ball had been delivered at my door), when, in fact, it hadn't.  I just don't know what some people are thinking...

On a side note, I was messaged this morning with a tracking number for the substitute of the WMB... an eraser banshee.  Anyone interested in purchasing an eraser banshee (not even sure about layout, condition, or number of drills as all that information was omitted as well) for $86???  LOL

ball arrived as promised.  Was in excellent condition.  I originally had thought this was scam by the seller, but now I think it actually was some trouble with his friend.  Although seller wasn't able to refund money, he did come through with a replacement, so I thank him for it.  Overall I am neutral about the seller.  Communication wasn't so good at the beginning, but when it finally came down to it, he made the deal right.  Because so, I will appologize for the initial comments.
