Suprisingly, shockingly to my mind, I have sold several virtually mint balls (no track, barely 10-15 games per ball) for $35-25 INCLUDING shipping, shipped the day I received payment, sometimes not even waiting for it to clear (money order or personal check), even shipping some balls BEFORE I got paid; yet not one of these people have posted a positive experience with me.
You tell me: what am I doing wrong? What could I have done more, or better?
What did I do wrong?
Honestly.

Nothing. Should I post that you're an upright guy!? And they'll believe ME?

You did nothing wrong of course. I haven't sold a bunch of stuff, but very few of the people I've sold to or traded with have posted any feedback for me either.

just because no one posts a positive feedback doesn't mean it's negative

Better....much better!

You have done nothing wrong. I have done only a few
transactions on the board but I always post feedback.
It is the only way to truely know who you should or
should not deal with. I say again.... YOU HAVE DONE
NOTHING WRONG.

What are you DOING wrong? You're exposing that you send bowling balls w/o recieving payments, letting con-artists plan to feast on you.
Just a warning.

I got nothing...
King,
Thanks. I don't do that all the time. I do talk first and see what the situation is. If the guy tells me he has to wait until he gets his next paycheck and he's buying my used ball, I feel sorry for his situation. That is one situation about a year ago when I did send the ball before he sent me payment. I haven't gotten screwed yet.
More than one person has asked why I am selling a new ball as used (they do have holes; so they aren't really new. They just look that way, most times.).
Thanks for the replies, guys. Maybe the balls I have for sale are just not the popular ones. Whatever.

CharlesT, I am just SLACK!!!!! You were great, our deal was WONDERFUL and smooth. Shame on me but, I never post my problem free deals. I very seldom check this section, again shame on me. I just happened to see your post on the home page. What can I say about our transaction? I received a used (in good shape) "Pro Purple" for $40 shipped. It came FAST in a "double box". All I can say is; "When can I get another ball from you?".
As always TAKE CARE, Jeff

CHARLEST .. I have never done a transaction with you .. however with the experience I've had with you I WOULDN'T HESITATE ONE SECOND TO MAKE A PURCHASE FROM YOU! To me YOU are one of the people that I LISTEN VERY ATTENTIVELY TOO!

Charlest, you do nothing wrong. Maybe it's because when you sell balls in mint condition that barely have 10-15 games per ball for $25-$35 and they want to keep it a secret so that no one else will find out and challange them for the ball because you sold too cheap.......
Nah, in reality, you have done nothing wrong. It's just the way some people are and that is they are non-appreciative. However, I have noticed your name mentioned a lot in peoples Profiles as some mention people they have had successful deals with and you are one of them.
Brick
PS: Oh, when you have a 15# Uranium Buzzsaw with 2-3 inch Pin in mint condition and only 10-15 games on it, let me know as I will pay more than $25-$35 you sell these "same as new" balls for.

Charlest, I gave you a good post when you sold me the Blue Pearl Hammer, the ball was in great shape. One thing that I do when i buy or sell a ball, alot of times the user will send a messaged telling me thanks for the ball, I then accept. In response, I tell them to give me a good post on the buyer/seller and in return, I will do the same for them.

Your rep kind preceeds you for any of us who read your posts. People pretty much have no worries and feel you are already a well respected as a member. I just slack both here and on ebay on feedback unless asked specifically.

Lion95, Lefty-hiTrak, Brick, Joe and the whole gang of "youse" nice guys,
You all are, of course, not the ones I've had ... concerns with. FYI I hop eI have mentioned you in kind when you've posted for me. Some of you I dealt with even before the Buyer-Seller Feedback forum started. Thanks all for posting.
Brick,
I don't buy Lane#1 balls very often. Oddly I got an XXXL out of sheer desperation several weeks ago. Of course since then, there's been plenty of oil.
And so it goes.
Happy posting and ball dealing to all of you.
Thanks very much to all.

The bowlers you're doing business with are obviously trying to keep you a "secret" -- if I had experience like that I'd certainly post it!!! Seriously, I've had transactions w/three different people on B/R so far and I have posted on each one --- just trying to let other people know who the good ones are.
-
I would have no problem sending a ball without payment to most of you regulars around here. There are some scammers but for the most part everyone around here is great, like you charlest.

I am not sure if I posted about our transactions, but I have had two dealings with Jeff, and he is among the best people on this forum to deal with. On a side note I keep a list of all the people I have dealings with in my profile, and Charlest is listed there. I am very fortunate to not have had any bad deals.

Thanks again, guys.
This is beginning to feel a little like self-pity; it wsn't intended that way. I had been wondering if I was doing somehting wrong, but I see I wasn't. You can only do what you feel is right and hope others think so too.
So I'm going to lock this up.
