After reading Lucky Lefty's post about trading/selling with people under 19 years old I decided to post this.

If you are going to have a deal with someone (no matter what age they are) that has questionable habits, character etc... and you are someone that deals on here frequently then I feel it is not out of question that you request they send payment or ball first.

I have been dealing on here for a long time. I have delt with MANY other users and have not had a deal go bad except the infamous xxxpipologyxxx/aka matt wager deal. I do not think it should be out of question for me to have someone that is younger to send me their equipment first. I also do not believe that Lefty would have been wrong in requesting that out of those he delt with either. Lefty is the one with a ton of references and people (most of which are adults I am sure) that would speak positively about his character.

This is not intended to solely be aimed at those of younger age. It is aimed at those with questionable character and those that have to have their parents drive them to the UPS terminal to ship the equipment. I have had a couple of great deals with younger B.R. users, so please do not take this as a knock on them.

It would be better for Lefty to demand that the item is shipped to him first than to totally disreguard a sale/trade because of the person's age.


What is your opinion about this?

You are absolutely correct.  It doesn't matter what age you are although from what i have heard on several posts it is the younger users-no offense of course to any younger users-but this request is a great idea.  I for one think that this is the best website ever because it's like a home for all the bowlers of the world.  I have done many transactions ranging from new york, california, a lot in texas, michigan all the way to france and maybe a near one in the future in hawaii.  A lot of great people on here and I would just like to take a minute and say thank you to all the honest people that do business on here, you make this website what it is supposed to be.

Recently finished a deal with bowlingdude300....Kyle.......he is underage and the deal went through nicely. No problems what so ever. It is just the few bad ones that have left a bad taste in the mouth of many.

I always send the money first.  I figure the seller is already taking a hit when he sells the ball, at least this way he doesn't have to come up with shipping costs.

 I have the crappiest luck with the post office.  Seems like they send all my mail by pony express.  Got a deal pending with Jkiser, thought the money order would have been there by last Friday, sent it out tuesday, (St Louis to Texas).  

Having been on the board a little while I've got a pretty good idea who is safe to deal with.  If you do enough transactions, you are bound to have a bad experience.  I've only been ripped off once on a deal.  Michigan of all places.
