Had a deal all signed sealed and ready to go with him for the used Hot Rod Pro Stock PEarl I have in and the NIB Atomic Charge. He asked me to put them aside  and he'd send payment shortly. Well guess what? I started the plug job on the HRPS Pearl because it was part of the deal and now he doesn't want the ball..SURPRISE!!!!

And in the process he asked me about teh price of a NIB Ace and a NIB ReCharge....

Not to mention the fact that I could have had the Atomic Charge sold last night but I agreed to set it aside for him...so there's a lost sale.

And want to know his excuse? "I found them really cheap locally here."

So many BR users do this.  Maybe I should be smart and start posting names because I've had close to a hundred of these types of deals.

I've had people do that "I found it cheaper locally" bit. I chose to ignore them in the past. I will no longer do so. If they made a deal with you, why did they continue to look for the same ball? Because they are low life pond scum to begin with and never will be otherwise. Report them here!

A normal adult human being will not commit to a deal, until they are sure.

let me further clarify this issue...i did tell doug what I wanted and told him that I wouldnt be able to get together for a while and told him that I probably wanted those balls but he did tell me that he wouldnt ship until he received money and I told him I should have it by the end of the week.....so if he isnt going to ship until he gets money there is no deal until he has money.....he never should have plugged anything until he received my money...I never authorized him to plug and it only takes one day to plug....I have only had dealings with a few on here but they can tell you when I am ready to do something I will authorize it and let one know as soon as the money goes out....then he would have had plenty of time to plug and do whatever....as far as the atomic he could have sold it and ordered a new one no big deal to me...there was nothing in stone I signed no contract and things change....thats why this is a message board with a ton of people you dont know....so if you want to put a bad rep on me oh well....I never sealed anything with him as I never sent money I told him as soon as I found better pricing as I was looking into other resources when I asked him.....Im sorry if he feels I messed up but I notified him at least when I wasn't interested which I thought is what I was supposed to do....ask smash810split if I do good transactions Ive had 3 with him in the last month...thanks

You never tell someone you're going to buy a ball if you aren't 100% sure.

Just because he didn't have the money and you didn't have the ball yet doesn't mean there "is no deal".  It means the deal hasn't been completed and nothing else.

When he said he wouldn't ship until he got money and you said you'll send teh money at the end of the week, that is saying you are going to buy the ball, not "oh well i'm a little bit interested".

When dealing with online customers, you MUST live by one simple motto.  Money talks.  Especially when someone is selling a ball.  paypal is one of the most common and trusted ways of purchasing anything online and should be something that you are willing to use when buying stuff on the web.  Unless you are willing to set the ball aside and play the waiting game, it's tough to take a person on his word.

I will give Bolt kudos for coming out and being up front in a public forum where he could have simply denied everything. But he was in a hurry to get the balls and he did ask me to plug the Hot Rod. If he recalls that's why he paid me the extra $10.

24 hours for a full plug job? Not from this guy. It takes 24 hours per set of plugs (24 for the fingers and 24 for the thumb). Quick plug and I are not friends.

He did say that he would have the money out by the end of the week and since it was already Wednesday, I had to get the ball plugged and ready to go.

Is there anyone out there who wants to wait for 3 days AFTER someone gets your money for him to ship the ball? Exactly my point....

OK last post on this thread.

Trey did come out and offer to still buy the balls from me since he wnats to redeem himself and make things right.

As a result of this he has gained my full respect and that is enough. If he still wants the balls, that's just a bonus. To know that he is an up front an d honest guy willing to stick to his word is far more important to me than a ball sale.

Knowing that people with ethics and morals as such still exist in this workld is a wonderful feeling.

Again I want everyone to know....Bolt 298 is an AOK guy on here and will stand behind his word. I wish more people could be like him.

Doug, thanks for reposting on this issue and all of you can be sure things are great between us....I am putting the money in the mail today to get the balls I originally said I would since I gave him my word in a roundabout way.....I live by my word and I die by my word because thats all you really have....thanks again Doug for everything
