Whats with the outburst of deals gone wrong recently? Surely there must be a way we can figure these things out and make them right or prevent them in the future.
-
satwater, I agree, there has been a run of bad deals on here lately. Many of the problems come back to one thing: lack of communication. If both parties involved in a deal know what is going on at all times, then there would not be a need to ask other members of this site if they had heard from person x, y, or z. Also, always be truthful with the person with whom you are dealing with. If something has come up that delays your end of the deal, tell them the truth, most of us on here understand that life doesn't always run smoothly. If all else fails, try and stay with reputable traders that you know and trust. That's all I have for advice, hopefully the run of bad deals comes to an end soon, and everyone involved in those deals can get things straightened out.

Totally agreed. Myself, if I do a deal with someone (I generally always buy) and spend who cares, $1 or $1000 on a ball and something comes up, don't make something up to cover yourself, just let me know what's going on and tell me when the ball or item will be sent out. Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy.

Seems like once or twice a year we go through this. Usually it's just one guy and several deals with that one person. I can't remember so many different people trying to ruin things as what we have had in the past 2-3 weeks.
You guys are right, key is communication.

Usually the person that is screwing everyone, has done it before. If you have never dealt with a user before, it is always smart to ask about them on the boards.

Guys,
It ALL comes down to personal integrity. Their is no need to worry about a deal with me, because I will worry about it more than you. I will worry if I gave you enough info. I will worry that you will get your stuff in a timely manner. I am a perfectionist and can expect no less than that from myself.
I don't usually toot my own horn, but I have followed through and made satisfactory deals with every person I have ever dealt with here, and I will continue to do so, from my side anyway.
Please guys, if you want to deal/trade here, be as good as your word. Integrity is all you were born with, and all that you will take with you.

I agee it's all about being honest. How can people live with themselves. Well I am old school People today are different. When i sell i want people to give me excellent reference.

I do my best, as well. I do always remember one thing my Dad told me....boy, you may have 'things' in your life, but the only thing that's worth anything, is your word.
Holds pretty true for me to this day. Shoot, I've made money and spent most of it but to the day I die, your word is the only thing that will follow you.

What I don't understand iS why do folks like to bash or make comments about other folks asking others for info on a user ? With all thats been posted about all the wrong deals, heck I don't think it's being disrespectful, it's trying to make sure your not going to be the next victim.
Weather you've been here 10 years or 1 year, I think it's important to know if your doing the right thing.
Question, why was a post locked because another user ask if you dealt with another user ? Don't make since to me.

I think this site needs a wall of shame so everyone can easily see who's been bad.it may also help cut down on the ho-hum effort from sellers/buyers.it could be discussed on the site and if it turns out that someone is being a thief then up thy go.

The harder I try the harder they fall

I think there'd be less of that if it was a requirement to have a profile. Put in it an address/usbc number something that can be verified. I'm not talking all sort of personal info but just an address, name, city/state and/or uSBC number or any number that can be verified.
It will not stop all of the bad deals but at least it'd slow them down, IMO.

some feedback system like ebay would be nice. I'v made about 4 transactions smoothly and wrote about the other guy. Never have they said that I was trustworthy and a good seller or buyer.

Another suggestion is to put your deals in your profile. Anytime someone needs to know about deals with me, just go to the profile and there are users to contact!

I'd be happy IF they'd just have a profile...but I do as you say so if anyone wants to 'check up on me' all they gotta do is ask someone listed.
