Ebay seller warning
« on: May 12, 2006, 12:33:19 PM »
I'd suggest not buying any balls from Ebay seller named pbanut04, at this moment in time. I paid for 2 balls from him/her on April 30th. As of today, 5/12/06, I have not heard from him/her, after sending 3 Ebay messages and 2 personal emails and have not received any balls. I have put in a claim thru PayPal, via EBay, stating non-receipt of merchandise and total lack of communications with him/her.

Yeah I bought a ball from him a few months ago...no communication till I filed a paypal complaint that I had not received my item.  Then I got a tracking number and the ball about 4 days later.

It was supposed to me an X-comp but was a Blem instead as well.  Big difference between the two, and I know I won't be buying from again.

Yeah. You know, I had a guy in Jackson county. He had a little drum circle in his backyard. It turned into a drum circle four miles in diameter. You get a few hippies playing drums and next thing you know, you got yourself a colony.

I saw all the previous positive feedbacks; that's originally why I bid on the items. Once this became a problem, I read some of them and at least one indicated a long wait problem. I have won many items on Ebay, both bowling and otherwise - I have never had long to wait for a message reply or delivery of an item.  Maybe this person has decided its time to make some big money and not fulfill any more contracts. I don't know for sure. I have not filed my feedback yet either. As far as I am concerned, since it's been over 2 weeks, about the only excuse will be that he's in a coma in a hospital.

I bought a Lane#1 Comet from him a little over a year ago and had no problems,so maybe something is wrong.
However, after two weeks I'd also be upset and following your path.

Update (5/21/06):

PayPal has taken my side; they wrote:
"We have decided in your favor and have recovered funds from the seller."

I do not know what happened to pbanut04 or if he will continue to sell on Ebay. He had had over 1400 positive feedbacks for Ebay transactions prior to these two situations; I made 2 separate purchases. The monies for both have been credited to my account and both deals have been "reversed" in PayPal's terminology.

I wish I knew why he never sent me the balls.

The same thing happened to me. I had done business with Joe Moro before through eBay with no hassles. He actually replied to my email stating he had just gotten back from vacation and would get the ball right out to me. Filed with Paypal and they refunded my money.  Thanks

I live in France and I've already bought some balls from pbanut04, in the past I never had problem with shipping delay. For the last time (Jan 06) the ball arrived a little late because someone in his family had a big problem and was hospitalized. In Jan this person was dead and I think this lost affect alot Joe. I think that we can trust him and perhaps let him time to begin again his normal life. Thanks for reading and hope that all problems will be resolved.

In this case, it wasn't a shipping delay.

I understand personal losses, but a business is a business. If he had sent me two words, in reply to any the 4 communiques I sent him over 10 days, I would have gladly waited. I was not and am not now in any rush, but if I let it go for 2 months, I would have had no claim whatsoever. Still I have not heard from him, have seen no new items for sale from him on EBay and do not even know if he is still "in business".

Not taking sides, however, my wife bought something a couple years back. The seller stated in the text he would be in the hospital for a couple weeks, his family would be doing the shipping and they were slow.

I thought that was a fair warning, nice touch and there is a 'vacation' button, allowing the buyers to know there will be a delay.

As for my wife and I, IF a product sets more than 24 hours after payment and before shipping, then one of us has died, just the way we are. You paid for it, I don't want it in my place, it belongs to you....

It does amaze me the number of sellers that will 'set' on an item for 2-3 days , after payment, before shipment, just strange to me.

I'm glad to hear you got your money back, no matter what the problem is/was.

Charlest, in this case you're right, I think that I'll do the same if it happened to me. Here, I only want to tell what happened to me for the last deal with him and just hope that all things will go right for everybody and also for pbanut04.
