follow up regarding issue with Laxbowler02(john Smizek JR)

Some of you may recall a situation myself and another user, Triple X, had with John Smizek JR, ballreviews ID Laxbowler02. If you don't, you can veiw the previous thread here:

http://www.ballreviews.com/Forum/Replies.asp?TopicID=49549&ForumID=71&CategoryID=5

I cannot speak on behalf of Triple X, as he is waiting for his ball, which should be delivered today.

Quick background is that I agreed to buy his blue pulse and helix by money order. I sent the money order out the beginning of March. Knowing full well it can take a week or so to get there by mail, I wasn't suprised when he hadn't received it about a week later. We kept in contact, and I told him if he didn't get it by a certain day(don't remember the exact day), I would file a claim for it. The last message I received from him was on March 17th, saying he still hadn't received it, but he was going to send them out anyways. Nothing after that, and any message I had sent him had gone unread.

I filed my claim for my money order, especially after the thread Triple X started about him, so was a little worried. Almost a month past before we heard from him again. Just as I received my claim information, showing it had been cashed, I heard from John. He explained he had gone out of town on school business, and left the equipment with a friend to send out. John said that his friend dropped the ball on it, and never sent the equipment out. So he got back in town, and was in constant contact with me during the whole time, even exchanged phone numbers. He waited for a check he was getting to send the equipment out, and he did just that. He called me the day he was sending them out, gave me a tracking number, and let me know how sorry he was this happened. Balls arrived a few days later, just as he described.

Before John had left, he was very easy to contact here on BR via PM, went back and forth quite a bit about the deal. Then when he got back, again he was very easy to contact. Talking to him on the phone was pleasing, as he seemed extremely nice and helpful, and again, sorry about the whole situation. I know things happen, and know sometimes there are things you can't control.

His username on here is now Yahooman, because there was a problem with his account for some reason. In the end I would deal with John again, because when I had contact with him, he was extremely helpful with any question I had.

That's the quick version, and again, things happen and this was just one of those instances where a couple things happened that made it look extremely bad. In the end, it was resolved with no issues at all.

Chaz,

I just deleted the post(bad feedback) that I'd created about John Smizek Jr as I had promised him as soon as I received the ball from him. I believed you & him that this situation that just happened was all a misunderstanding. John did lived up to his promise that he will send the ball right away & he didn't lie about the description of the ball that it is in good condition. After all this, It was a happy ending for both of us.

I hope this will not change his reputation on buying or selling on this forum. I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again in the future.

Thanks,

Triple X

Hey guys...

I just wanted to thank you two for understanding my situation...most people would be outraged and would still give me bad feedback...i probably deserved it for depending on someone else to deliver the balls...but i appreciate the feedback and hope that the equipment works great for you.
