Question.....
« on: September 19, 2009, 09:14:12 AM »
How long is too long before a person should be named in this forum for a negative transaction? If this person wasn't a well respected member of this site i think i would be worried by now, but here is what has happened....beginning of sept user posted balls and i replied to show interest and final prices, user replied and price was set, i tried to send payment but paypal said user email was wrong, i contacted user and he sent a request which was paid sept 8th. sept 13th get a message from the user saying he had not been online and didn't see that i had paid, but would ship this week and email a tracking number, now its sat, sent a message around wed and got no reply, and still no email or message with anything at all, much less a tracking number. in his defense, i have only seen him make 1 post all week but still, shouldn't you make it a point to let someone know what was going on, if you were goin to be out of town or busy or if you had an emergency if you had an on going transaction???

I understand your reluctance to mention a name, especially if it was a well respected user. And, we all have things happen unexpectedly in life, so this may be the case.

Thing is, yes, they should contact you and let you know the status of things, just out of respect for you AND their own reputation. Even in some of lifes most trying times, it only takes a couple of minutes to get online and send at least some type of message.

If, in fact, they are well respected sellers/users here, I would tend to have much more patience with them and give them the chance to work things out before I tried it the hard way.  I think I would try to contact them a few more times before I gave up.

Like I said, crap happens in life.  Maybe they're just trying to work through something?
