I would recommend NOT dealing with this user. He posted something Sunday about wanting to buy 14 pound used Lane #1 stuff so I sent him a message telling him I had a 14 pound enriched uranium for sale and he responded saying he would let me know something in the next day or two.

Here is a private message he just sent me:

Yep and like I said, that message was totally uncalled for and I let the br.com admins know about it as well..

Its my decision to ship out of the US or not.. I have done it before but this user had no idea whether I would or would not ship to Canada.. He didn't even ask but if I would ship there. I am willing to bet this user is also user oilhog or a friend of his.. I had a possible deal working with user oilhog last week but decided not to ship to Canada after waiting a week for him to figure out how he was going to pay for the ball I had for sale..

Dude thats crazy.I ship to Canada and the shipper is the one who has to go to the trouble of filling out the paperwork.So if you don't wanna ship its up to you,your the one who's gotta go the extra.

That user NEVER even ask me if I would ship to Canada or anywhere for that matter.. He just sent that offensive PM to me without any reason whatsoever.. There is extra paperwork and cost shipping to Canada. I have done it before and might have done it this time but not now..

xo_luv2bowl_xo is a friend of oilhog.  She is probably the same age has oilhog (around 15 yearrs old, but c'mon now, any 10 year old would know better), and wow ... that was a very stupid comment on her behalf.  

Congratulations, xo_luv2bowl_xo, on ruining your image and respectability among a great deal of people who you could have done business with.  Nothing justifies rude comments like that, regardless of who you are.

jkiser01, I believe Warren300 was saying that you, being the seller, have all the right to decide whether or not to ship to Canada, and it's not your fault if a buyer cannot agree to those terms.

You know how much of a hassle it is to send a ball outside of the US? Its difficult. If you dont like it, find a fourm where a bunch of canadians surf and offer bowling balls for sale. JKiser is a great seller, I have not bought from him but his rep is good on here.. Like i said, if you dont like it, leave the site..

Wow I hope this doesn’t discourage you guys/girls from shipping stuff to Canada...ive purchased all my stuff from BR members.
jkiser01 has shipped stuff to me in Canada before. Good guy great seller well maintained equipment. IMO the seller has the right to choose who he or she sells to.

First off, I have sent stuff to Canada and might have done it again, but not after getting a private message like that.. This seller never even ask me. I can't beleive an adult person would send something like that..

As far as me backing out of a deal with her "friend" oilhog.. First off user xo_luv2bowl_xo needs to get her facts straight before posting anything. I knew right from the start where he lived and if he would have had the funds ready to go when we first started talking abut the ball, we would have done the deal. But he kept telling me he was getting his paypal account verified, then the bank was out of money orders (that was a good one) and I just got tired of waiting for the payment so I decided to cancel the deal.. I have done enough deals on thos forum to know when something didn't smell right and that deal did not smell right to me.. I waitied over a week for payment arrangements to be finalized and thats to long in my book..

Its just another example of users saying they want to buy something and then NOT being ready to buy.. Unless you have money in hand, DON'T post on here saying you want to buy something.. Its a total waste of time..

ryry05 and the others that posted, thanks for the kudos on how I do business. My reputation on here speaks for itself..

Wasn't there just a thread recently about someone who shipped something across the border and is now being told to eat a number of customs-related fees/tariffs?  

As long as a canuck is willing to pay ALL tariffs and fees AND doesn't make one wait forever and a day for payment, then my guess is that most on the board would be willing to ship cross-border.

Me!  In my case, they refused to pay the tarrifs/customs fees, so I was stuck with the charges!  Never again for me...

the bottom line is its a pain in the butt with extra paperwork, but I don't mind doing it as long as the buyer understands if the package gets lost, I am not responsible. When shipping stuff to canada, you have to put a customs value on the package and the "insured" value cannot be more than the customs value.. What this means is this. If the person I am shipping to wants me to put a $25 customs value on the package so they don't have to pay customs, I will do that.. But because of that, if the package gets lost, all that is covered is $25 bucks..

There is a huge risk here for the seller IMO..
