Ike Brownfield
« on: July 26, 2005, 04:04:06 AM »
Does anyone know if Ike is vacation or something?  It looks like it has been a few days since he posted anything here in the forum.  It's a little disconcerting, when he just kind of disappears with no word.  Unless he left it in a thread somewhere, in which case, I apologize.

I'm waiting on 3 balls from Ike??? Been a little over two weeks. Talked through messages a few times. He's waiting on one of them so he can ship all at once! Sent him a few messages in the last couple of days, and haven't heard back yet. I've bought with him before, so I know he's a good guy. He just might be behind right now, not sure? I think he has more that a few people waiting on balls!!! I ready to get my equipment, that's for sure!

Well, I've been waiting 5 weeks now for 1 ball. An Xception 5.0.  I'm ready for my stuff to.  I've actually been dealing with this now for 8 weeks.  I won one of his drawings back on Memorial Day.  I don't want to ask for a refund, it's a great deal; but at the same time, I can't just keep waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the ball.

Just a rule of thumb, if you win an auction or buy equipment at lower than anyone else rates, you're probably going to have to wait.  I had to wait quite some time myself for stuff from Ike, but he came through in the end.  That's the tradeoff.  If you want your ball NOW, then pay a little more to get it from Buddies or at the shop.

I understand that.  And as much as I would have loved to have had the shipped the next day, I kind of figured I would be waiting.  But not 5 weeks.  And that is only from when I switched selections, hoping that that would speed up the process.  It's really been 8 weeks since I won his drawing.  Ike said in one other thread that it was shipped, but was lost.  That's fine, but I wonder why I didn't get a tracking number.  I've been asking for one from the beginning.  I just want the ball, so that this will go away.

I've been waiting on a S&A that I purchased from him (not through ball drawing) for about two months now...I'm confident it'll work out in the end, but I dunno how much longer I can wait.

Wow, 2 months in my opinion is ridiculous. I have done numerous deals with Ike and I think he sometimes trys to do more deals than he has time to complete.. Thats not an excuse for him, just something I think is happening..

He has always come thru for me, but I have had to wait longer than I feel is necessary.. If the ball is back ordered or something like that and the person is told that abd agrees to wait, thats a different story..

If they only made a ball that would carry that da_n 7 pin (and I am right handed!!)

I paid for a ball to him about 5-6 days ago, and he hasn't replied to any of my messages since.. he had told me that he could send it friday/monday.  im not sure what to think.

DC and dj miller, 2-5 months for a ball seems like way too long..

its still premature for me to think anything, but im just not sure why he isn't responding to my pm's anymore

also, in response to the message saying you should expect to wait..its different when the person selling the ball promises to ship the ball out the next day.. i would not have ordered the ball if it was going to take long.

Turtle, if you were buying one of the specific balls he was advertising in his thread, I think he had those on hand and would ship it directly.  If you ordered something he had to get from his distributor guy, that's when you'll have to wait.  5-6 days is nothing!

oh, yeah dont get me wrong . i'm not calling anyone a crook. I'm still confident that everything will work out. its just that i look at the other people who have waited 2-5 months, and its not the most reassuring thing ya know

me neither.  I don't think Ike is a crook by any means.  He has made many deals here in this forum.  So if something unexpected came up, that's fine.

Sorry guys I left in a rush the other day cause my buddy got a ticket and I was going to see Breaking Benjamin in concert in Indianapolis so I didn't have to to make a post to say that I would be gone a few days.

Splendorlex is right the ones that are on the post in the forum except for the spare tires are at my house which I got directly from my guy.  Turtle82 yours is going out tomorrow.  Dave300 i am just waiting on the xception that you ordered to arrive at my door.  Djmiller, doug, DC and actually 2 that haven't posted on this threat, sikxer and nlw1999 are the 5 that are waiting to come from my guy.  I am working on it as hard as i can guys sorry for this HUGE inconvenience.  And Jim might be right I do try to get a lot of equipment out to you guys so I can share some of the great prices that I get and I know what those 5 are going through cause i have had to wait just as long and i believe djmiller has been waiting the longest at 2 months.  But it should be clearing out soon and I can only send a tracking # if he gives me one.
