Finally Got the Ball

Just wanted to let everyone know, that I received my ball from Ike.  It took a long long 7 weeks, 10 weeks since I won the drawing, but it's here.  Hopefully, no one else will have this sort of problem.  It really should have never gotten to the point it did, no matter what the excuses are.  But I have it, and am glad it's now over.

Let the bowling begin!!

Hey DJ,

What was the point of the post, that is a buyer/seller forum, and it's not to knock you or anything, but you didn't even really ever mention Ike, the communication, and the fact that you got a top rate ball for extremely cheap.  All be it was a long wait, but it's never like he seriously left you in limbo extendedly about the situation.  You've got your ball, now leave a serious level of feedback of Iketown300.  I really don't know why you posted that at all.   I've dealt with Ike on a few occasions and I know he is an honest and well respected member of this site, granted you are a bit older than me and the tone of this post is a little bad, and I apologize for that.  It bothers me that you would have the nerve to post something like that without even mentioning the positives of the transaction.  It's not even that it's Ike, someone I definitely get along with on this site, but all you are is negative, and that doesn't help any future buyers determine anything about the forum and whom you got it from.  

Just my opinion,

Gordo, no reason to diss his post at all.  You seem to be anal about transactions anyways, and seem to think I almost screwed you, but let the guy say what he wants to say.  I agree with him that 7 weeks is a little long to be waiting for a ball that, no matter how cheap it was, he paid for.  I know Ike to be a top notch seller and i'm not knocking him at all, but 7 weeks is pretty ridiculous, unless the shipping company is responsible.  And Dordo, he did mention the positives, that he got the ball and he's happy about it.  What more do you want him to positively say?

Trauma, I distinctly remember you putting an offer of 60 on a ball I was selling, then I marked it as sold.  About an hour later you backing out, how is that not screwing me a bit.  I'm just under the impression that when you commit to something most people in the world, well good people in the world, actually follow through on their commitments. As far as DJ goes, he said he was glad it's over, not glad with the transaction, maybe you should read the post a little more careful.

Dennis, glad to see you got your ball and you are happy about it.  To make up for the delay next time you want a bowling ball I will get you an extremely good price on one to try to make up for what my shipper was responsible for.

Jeff, hey buddy thanks for the kind words.  I appreciate it and you and I have done several transactions on here and it was all with balls that I owned none ever came from the guy that I work for like this one in this scenario did although he did get it for extremely cheap I agree 7 weeks is awhile but this will never happen again.  Of course I am still waiting on my stuff as well from him!

Jeff,

The point of the post is simple, I got the ball.  I felt it was necessary to at least let everyone know that I got it.  I didn't mention any of the positives of the transaction, well, because, in my eyes there were none.  Out of the many positive transacations that Ike has done, it's unfortunate that mine was not. I have the ball, and it's time to move on.  I suggest you do the same.

Ike, thanks for the offer.  Let me think about it for a bit.  I have a new toy to try out first.
