Beware Mr. Bigfish
« on: December 17, 2013, 09:51:02 PM »
Ordered ball and received cracked. He wanted me to get the crack filled and I told him ball was a gift and to go back to Fedex for reimbursement. Fedex picked up the ball and he expected me to wait 10-14 days to refund my money. Stopped communicating and I had to file claim with Paypal. He then blocked me from sending email. Not a stand up guy.

Ok. This is complete bs. The ball was shipped and when it arrived it was cracked. I contacted fedex to file a claim. The next day they picked it up and are currently investigating. I asked Dave to  wait patiently until the claim was finished up by fedex ( I don't think that was unreasonable) stating it could take 5-7 days not 14 days. I have never ignored his emails. I got back to him today and he immediately contacted paypal to file a claim against me. I have had over 30 transactions on this website with no trouble. I also have many on ebay with no trouble. I didn't deserve to be slandered here. All I asked for was a little patience  until fedex was finished with their investigation. This has only been going on since last Friday (December 13th). I have every intention of refunding the money as soon as fedex is done. I just received the ball back to me tonight and there is a hairline crack from the pin to the fingers. I've seen this happen from time to time and proshops can easily fill in the crack for a nominal fee which I would have agreed to pay for. Considering this ball only cost him $50 with shipping, I can't believe such a big deal was made of it. I guess that's what you get when you are dealing with a cheapskate trying to get everything for almost nothing.

There are several points I would like to add. First of all the seller assumes responsibility for the item that you ship. When you return a product to a retailer they don't tell you you have to wait for your refund till they get credit from their vendor. Seriously? Secondly you don't tell someone sorry I spent your money and you have to wait till I get reimbursed to refund their money. Thirdly when I purchased the ball it was not cracked. I contacted him to let him know that I received the ball and it was cracked. His reply was no big deal the ball won't roll over that area so have your pro shop guy fix it. He did offer to pay for the repairs. At that point in time I suggested that he contact Fedex that the ball was insured for $100 and they were usually pretty good about reimbursing for damages. He replied back that they don't pay unless the product is totally damaged. He would have not contacted them unless I made the suggestion. I wonder how much he profited on the claim???  I am sure everyone will agree that when you purchase a ball you should receive it in the same condition as purchased. I never blamed him for misrepresenting the ball but not my problem that he spent the money and expected me to wait until Fedex decided to issue him a refund. I explained that this was a Christmas present for my son and I couldn't wait for my money back. Lastly if this seller was not guilty why would he have my emails blocked? He has had two days to respond to Paypal and has not responded. I am sure he will wait until December 27th to respond so I will not receive my refund till then. I purchased a ball and expected to receive the ball as advertised not damaged. Whether I paid $10 or $250 is irrelevant. Bottom line I will now have to wait 20 days for my refund. I did not intend to slander him in any way but merely posted this information as a heads up to potential buyers.

Well I can say you're a flat out liar. I first hand saw the email that said you blocked communications from him. The ball was for me as a Xmas gift. It was more then a hairline fracture and I can gladly post a pic if you'd like. So right there makes you out to be a liar. As far as getting the ball repaired. When you buy something and it's not damaged why would you want something that ended up broken? I guess you're just not that intelligent. I'm not sure what you expected as far as a price goes the ball is over a year old and too my knowledge there is no Kelly blue book for bowling balls. So anything you've said makes you sound even worse. Slander wood be calling you a liar and basicallya thief.
