got a deal ?
« on: November 01, 2007, 06:33:47 AM »
so about 2 months ago i made a deal with a user on this site where he would send me 2 NIB balls and i would send 70 dollars and a NIB ball, the deal was i would send the money paypal, which i did and he recieved, then he would send the 2 balls and then i would send the other ball. well the balls were sent out and according to the ups online tracking they were delivered...only problem is that the balls were no where to be found. so now its been 2 months after this and still no word with ups who he has contacted about a month or so ago and i really dont no what to do, its not his fault if they got stolen but its also like im out 70 bucks...how long does it take to do a claim with ups and how long do they take to process the whole deal...

any suggestions.

yea its ridiculous thats why it sucks for both of us...i live in an apartment complex on campus so im not home very much when ups delivers cuz of classes...i told him about it, and obviously im not mad at him...its def NOT HIS FAULT thats why i wont post his name cuz he did his part, but im mainly just wndering wut ups should do, cuz to me its there fault...i hate that they just drop stuff off and then leave, you should be required to sign stuff...i no when ebo, hammer, or another company like that i have to sign a paper saying i recieved the package otherwise i have to go to the store

Having delt with UPS in the past.. I know then when you file a claim I believe they tell you it could take up to like 60-90 days to settle your claim!

Dealing with UPS over lost goods is a pain. Everything has to be done from the sellers end and you need receipts for the goods you shipped in order to get paid.
If you follow there rules you well get paid, I know it's a pain, but you gotta do, what you gotta do.

Maybe he shipped it to himself or someone else and sent you the tracking # displaying it had been shipped?

X,

If you have ever shipped anything via any company you will see that it shows a detailed report of where the box went through. It would be impossible for someone to ship a package to themselves and then have it show it was delivered at Ry's address

wish you hadn't posted this in two different forums. I replied in the MISC forum.
